Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: At the time of my purchase of the extended warranty I was told by the finance manager that I was purchasing the warranty from the dealership Irregardless of the now revealed fact that actually it involved a third party, a two month wait for my refund is not acceptable Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] came in for a regen on his truck and we found an EGR cooler leakingWe found no other codes in systemWe then put the truck through a regen times and the truck would not go on the last timeThe customer wanted to take the truck, he stated he was driving hrs and told us he would put his truck through a regenHe then took truck*** told me that the truck was having some loss of power problems about miles into his trip and so he pulled over and noticed the truck was hot and the cat was glowing redHe then continued to drive to the next town while truck was hotWhen he got to the next town, they told him they couldn’t help him, so he got back in his truck and drove it to the next town that was about miles away, while it was still hotAt the next town they told him that the turbo had come apart and damaged his cat and his turbo The regen didn’t damage the turbo, it was damaged because it was driven under such hot conditions

I am rejecting this response because:I have been trying to work with Salt Lake Valley Jeep since July to resolve my Jeep issueI do NOT have a lawyerHe should be sending a letter in the mail saying soI have not been contacted by any lawyersSelling a vehicle without telling the customer it was in an accident is fraudAgain, I would have never bought my Jeep if I was told it was in an accidentI have not been unprofessionalI have been patient and trying to stay composed because I was taken advantage of and no one wants to make this rightUnfortunately, I have been given the run around and intimidated and feel defeated that my brand new Jeep purchase was not appreciated and that customer service is not a concern in doing the right thing when a wrong was madeMy last message said I wanted a peaceful and cordial resolution and I really hope your business will consider thisAgain, I would like to resolve this and I will move on for goodI'm willing to negotiate and work on a deal to put this to an end.

We have done all we can do for the customer at this point

While we try to accommodate every customer with a timely response and refund, we in fact do use a third party and have to wait for the refund to come from themIn turn, we refund the correct party whether it is the customer or the lien holder, thus the need for the paid in full letter

Again, after providing customer with all resolutions and options available which customer declined and due customer’s unprofessionalism here in the dealership, we directed this customer to work outside of the dealership with our lawyer for further resolution. We’ve done all we can in creating available solutions and have presented our options and expressed our desire to work with this customer but as a company we can only go so far in order to adhere to company policies and procedures.

we received the following message from the business regarding this complaint: The vehicle this customer purchased was sold at invoice, which is of no profit to the dealership. Our dealership is located on State St and the Jeep she bought was parked in the front of our lot when a vehicle in a...

high-speed chase hit another car driving on the road and pushed it up into our lot into this vehicle. The damage was not significant and was repaired, there were no notes in the system showing the minimal damage that car was hit or showing additional cost so we missed disclosing it to the customer. [redacted] told me that the truck was having some loss of power problems about 200 miles into his trip and so he pulled over and noticed the truck was hot and the cat was glowing red. He then continued to drive to the next town while truck was hot. When he got to the next town, they told him they couldn’t help him, so he got back in his truck and drove it to the next town that was about 100 miles away, while it was still hot. At the next town they told him that the turbo had come apart and damaged his cat and his turbo.  The regen didn’t damage the turbo, it was damaged because it was driven under such hot conditions.
