Salter College did not find job placement for me when I graduated. They are not an accredited college like I was told. I attended Salter College on [redacted] and graduated in [redacted] of [redacted] Everything that Salter College told me was a lie. They told me that it was guaranteed job placement when I graduated. It is now [redacted] almost two years later and they still have not found me a job in the field I went to their school for. They also said that they are a accredited college. That was also a lie. I tried to go to another college and out of all the course I took at Salter, they excepted one class, so in order to continue in my field I had to start all over again, basically as if I never went to salter and took any of the courses that I took. The teaching there was horrible! There was maybe two-three teachers out of my entire two in a half years there that actually taught me something. All the other classes I was put in I had to teach myself. Anytime we complained about an issue we were having, nothing every got fixed. The worst part is when trying to apply for jobs. When employers seen we went to school at salter they look at us like we are a joke and turn us down. I still to this day two years after I completed salter, does not have a job as a medical assistant. I owe soo much in student loans from going to salter that I can not pay on. So not only am I behind on paying back my loans, im also getting all the late fees that go along with it. I honestly believe I should not be responsible for paying back Salter college because they did not follow through with what they promised. I am still without a job in my field, and I had to start from scratch at a different college because no one will except Salters credits.Desired SettlementI am seeking that Salter College pays off all my loans from when I attended their school and any fees that go along with it. It also would be nice to get some kind of payment for not being able to work in the field I went to school, meaning I still struggle as a single mom of three, trying to make ends meet. Im behind on bills because I dont have a good enough job to keep up with the bills and make sure my three children have everything they need.Business Response Case [redacted]Salter College is institutionally accredited by the [redacted] of [redacted] and [redacted] is a national accrediting agency recognized by the [redacted] of [redacted]Ms. [redacted] was given "The Student Statement of Understanding" form to read and sign. Jane [redacted] & [redacted] 5 Attachments Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept their response at all. Salter College wants to get all technical with what I signed, and used that as their excuse why I don't have a job in the field I went to their school for or why every college I applied to, to further my education told me I have to start over because they don't except credits from salter college. Salter College advertised it in big bold letters basically all the good things that their college has to offer not telling anyone that its all lies and they really don't help with job placement or lets you further your education by using what you learned at salter and bringing it to another college to further your education. That is how they pulled many of people into their college. yes maybe I should have read the fine print better and understood it better, but salter sure didn't help me understand that there is a huge chance that I would be jobless and wouldn't be able to further my education after there. They also said in there response that the library is open to me to go job search and that they are always willing to help me with job placement and getting interviews. every time I went to that school for help with job placement, I got no where. They had me sit on a computer and search the internet for jobs, the same thing I can do at home by myself. if that's called them helping me, well then salter you did a great job!! If I was the only one complaining about this school, then maybe I would give it a second thought about their response and my original complaint. maybe think to myself that maybe its all in my head. truth be its not only me who has the same concerns and was filled with all kinds of promises. hundreds of people have complaints about this school and something should be done about it. they shouldn't be able to keep on taking peoples money and not helping them. Basically they are stealing from people who are trying to better their lives.I will do whatever it takes to fight this matter because I do not deserve what they have and still are putting me through, meaning not having a job in my career and starting from scratch at a new school, and no one else deserves it either!

I think the school was a joke and when I asked for help to find a job they did nothing Even though they said they would. Now I cant pay the loan. When I was doing my intership the school told me they would find something for me It took them til the very last minute to get me into one. When I graduated and was looking for a job they said that they would help me and they did not I would call and call and never received help. Another thing that bothered me was that there was never the same person that I was dealing with which is crazy because you have to explain who you were over and over and felt like they were there for their money and not really helping. I graduated in 2012 I did have a job that I needed to find on my own but was later laid off for down sizing and now I can not find work at all It seems that every time I mentioned Salter I get the look like "oh no way" And how can I pay the student loans if I am not working. You can only try and push the loan off so much.Desired SettlementI think I should receive a refund so I can pay the loan I spent a lot of money on this school and they never did what they promised. I also felt I got more experience from doing the job the little time that I did I am still not comfortable drawing blood because I feel that I was not well enough. I need help paying the loan for the school.Business Response According to our records Ms. [redacted] was placed on 1/12/2012 at [redacted] The Career Services office can be utilized at anytime by our graduates. [redacted] & [redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This was a job that I had to find on my own and I was able to learn more by working then I did while at school. I was not able to draw blood because I felt I did not have enough training. I did not receive my text book for my class until the third week of class which is only five weeks long and I have been trying to be refunded for itI started school on [redacted] and did not receive my book until the third week of class which classes are only five weeks long. I have attempted to talk to my dean, president, financial aid, premier education group and no one has contacted me back. I have emailed and left messages for it I pre pay for the books when I started with my financial aid and we are supposed to get the books the first day of classes when they start. I also have attempted to ask the financial aide for a itemized print out for what they have used my financial aide for and they have not given one to me. I have attempted to ask three times now and each time they have only given me a print out of how much financial aide I was approved for. I would like to be re funded for the money for the books that I did not receive on time, and a print out of what they have done with my financial aide because I do not believe that they are using it for what they are supposed to.Desired SettlementI would like to re funded for the amount of the books I did not receive on time I do not know the price of the book because I did not recieve an itemized print out. I would also like to get an itemized print out for my financial aide so I know what it is being used for so I know if I want to stay there or transfer.Business Response Her book has been refunded. I have an associate degree for MA. cant find a job I started salter college in [redacted] 2009 ,I waz told that in was a accredited school that [redacted] college took all of the credits, I would get grants because I was a single mother. I have a useless associate degree worth nothing ,I went to Salter because they promised they were getting a RN program and we would get first pick, about three quarters away through I heard that [redacted] dropped salters credits altogeter and our credits where worth nothing. If I wanted to go to another college I would have to take all the classes over again and pay again for them. I cant get a job in the medical field because they salters name and laugh..I owe over [redacted] dollars in loans for. a degree that is worthless.Desired SettlementI want my student loans wiped clean over [redacted] dollars for being misled and promised everything that they never deliverered on any of their lies .. [redacted] & [redacted]3 - Attachments Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I was lied to from the begining of my start at Salters, this is about the credits that are not worth anything salter initially stated that all the credits are transferable to all colleges , I was almost done with my classes and then we were told "oh sorry the only credits that transfer are now only for [redacted] state college, but sorry its only your math and english none of my medical.or any other credits tranfer even [redacted] dropped Salter for their credits which was only for math and english core credits which they lied about that as well. I wanted to become an RN and go.to [redacted] after I finished with my Associate s degree at Salters , I can"t and never be able to future my education due to Salters misleading guidence and policies. Every job I have apllied for they went with anothe recipient from anther college and was stated to.me by phone coversations that Salter classes are not reliable enough to feel safe enough with thier patients. This college is a joke and if I could go back in time I would have never waisted my time or missed time with my children if I would have know working so hard to graduate with high honors for absolutely nothing to show for it. Salter college should be shut done for lying to students just to have them sign a bocus agreement that mean nothing. I will never be able to able to go for my RN degree because I will have to take all my classes over again and pay for them all over again. I went back to school to better myself and ll it has done is cause me misery and stress. Its unfair to people to have the deal with deceitful companys that do not actually care about the persons well being..I want to be put in the million dollar lawsuit like the other 600 students that have had to deal with this so called college thank youFinal Business Response We have responded to this complaint. The complainant should go to the school and speak with the school president.

I was mislead by admissions about what was included in my tuition. When I signed up for the Medical Assisting program in [redacted] 2010 I was told that testing for credentialing was included in the cost of tuition. I was also led to believe that Salter College staff would assist me in my job search and provide job leads when available. My externship, I was told, would take place in an office environment. Instead it took place at an area elementary school. When the school called for follow-up after graduation, they asked if I had found employment. I told them I finally landed a part time job working in a call center at a home care agency. I was told that since home care is considered "medical" they were no longer required to assist me in any way. I have no direct patient contact - how is that right?Desired SettlementBecause of their deception I would like a full refund of my tuition. I am not able to pay for testing to get my certification for the state that I am required to have to work as a medical assistant. I have always wanted to be a nurse or work in the medical field. This situation has truly left me crushed and I no longer have a longing to continue my education which is a shame. I was on the Deans list my entire time at Salter and I really did enjoy learning.Business Response Case # 23987 [redacted] Ms. [redacted] accepted a position the call center and most certainly can work with our Career Services department to seek other employment. Jane [redacted] & [redacted] 3 Attachments Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Anyone who has gone through the application process at Salter College can tell you that when you are in the office and they have you sign all the paperwork, they are telling you that this paper is for our Privacy Policy and this one is for HIPPA and this is for, etc. In retrospect, I should have slowed down the interview and asked to read each and every piece of paper. I did not and I regret that. However, I WAS told that the certification was part of my tuition. That there is no piece of paper stating that does not mean that it did not happen. As far as the Career Service Center goes, that was a joke. I called every day for 2 weeks before I got a response. I was told that they emailed me regarding upcoming job fairs. I never received that email because they sent it to the wrong email address. I had given the correct one to each person I had spoken with in the Career Center. There were 3 people there at that time. And I do not consider working in a call center a position in a medical setting. I worked very hard for almost 2 years and because of my lack of credentialing and experience I was unable to find a more appropriate job. I am a single mother with two children and can not just hang around until some job comes along. It is really hard for me to say anything negative about Salter because I truly liked my instructors and enjoyed my classes. I feel that I learned a lot in regards to my chosen field. In the end though, there was very little follow through and I did not get what I was TOLD I would receive. I feel that I was absolutely deceived and very let down. Final Business Response I suggest you go to the school and speak with the President.
