We have followed the customer request that they did not want us to complete the projectOur contract states and I quote " supplemental claims build by Roundtree Inc on behalf of the homeowner and approved by the insurance company for additional work or increases in costs in addition to the contract are a part of this contract as if contained herein"The supplement is mailed to homeowner and they need to share those with usWe are waiting patientlyThe homeowner told us that they were looking at legal actionOur legal councel advises us that when that ever would happen we are to contact her and stop communicatingI checked with roofing subcontractor about permit , and they pulled one last year and I'm waiting for them to give me a copyWe are prepared to settle this once we have a copy of the final supplements and will refund any money that is required after viewing it if any is owedWe have stated this before and hope this is the last time we have to explain this answer Thank youLenny R [redacted]

Revdex.com,I received your complaint and have responded with a call and meeting with [redacted] and ***We have always had a good working relationship with the customer however there was work that needed to be comple [redacted] on the project that we had not comple***I failed to communicate properly with them in a timely manner to schedule the completion of the project.I have had a meeting with them to go over the items and have taken action to complete the workI will with the help of my subcontractors and myself complete the work as soon as possible and as always I will guarantee the customers satisfaction.Roundtree Inc[redacted]

We have read the complaint and we agreed with the majority of the complaintWith the volume of work that was created from the hail storm, the subcontractors were way behind and overbookedWe brought in a subcontractor to do the gutter job that we never had worked with beforeWe explained to the costumer on multiple occasions the difficulty of scheduling our subcontractorsWe stood behind and corrected the poor workmanship of the gutter companyWe let the homeowner know that we didn’t have the people to properly complete the rest of the projectWe negotiated the supplements on the insurance claim with the insurance companyWe have asked on several occasions for a copy of the final agreed upon supplements and the homeowner has refused to give us a copyIf the homeowner would give us a copy of that, we would be glad to meet their request and give them any refund that may be or may not be warranted

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We agree with the business response that the gutter work was completed after they made the agreed upon repairsWe do not agree that the business informed us that they did not have the people to complete the work and would be stopping workThis was never communicated to usWe have been trying to get a hold of Lenny for months, and he has never reached out to us regarding this changeThe few times we did reach him, we were told each time that the window repair man would be coming shortlyThat was our last received communication from Lenny. We do not agree that he has asked for the supplement list from our insurance companyWe had requested an invoice from him to compare to our initial estimateThis was not provided to usOur insurance company sent us the invoice that Lenny sent them - this is the only record of requested supplements that we haveThe additional money he requested from the insurance company (supplement check) we have not provided to himSince the amount we have paid so far is higher than the amount of work he completed, we felt that it was not appropriate to provide him the remainder of the quoted price, until he had addressed our concernsWe have both our insurance estimate and Lenny's invoice, and have marked the items that we completedWe can provide this comparison upon request. We also do not believe that a roofing permit was ever pulled for our structure, nor an inspection completed, as required by the City of DenverThis information has not been provided to usSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because he is incorrect about the timeline and the financial matters remain unsolvedThey will be worked out in court, likelyHe did send a new subcontractor to fix the gutters after we got the lawyer involved and that work was done well, though they put up gutters that were much smaller than those there beforeI sent Roundtree the new insurance supplement as soon as we received it- without his asking for it- on Sept 19thHe never respondedI'm pretty sure he just never read my whole email or looked at the attachmentWhen he asked for it on Nov 1st, we resent it again that day. We asked for an invoice for a month before *** finally sent it on November 8thHe then accused us of being unwilling to pay less than hour after we received the bill for the first timeThe invoice does not provide any details at all (it has a lump sum for "roof on house")It is not possible for us to know what items on the roof he is billing us for and which items did or did not match the insuranceIt difficult for us to pursue additions funds from the insurance or understand what we are paying him forMuch of the work covered under the insurance is still not done, and we are having to get another contractor to complete it. Our lawyer has been helpful by getting *** to fix his subcontractor's work on the gutters, which he was unwilling to do previouslyBut, then *** billed us for this re-work rather than covering it under his warrantyWe are now just doing what our lawyer tells us to doWe hope for a conclusion to this nightmare soon (I still have to put out buckets and tarps to catch water coming into the porch every time it snows, so trust me, I want it over); we hope for a conclusion that is fair for all parties involved (us, the insurance, and Roundtree).
Sincerely,

I'm working on resolving this

I have responded to every issue that *** had suggested he had in his houseHe was accusing us of not installing the decking, we did and we have pictures to prove itHe accuses us that his roof was improperly installed because the person who installed the
gutters told him thatThis guy ran away of his work, we had to fix the gutters again because his work was done improperly*** complains that we didn't install a drip edgeI brought out my crews and the roofing and the gutters that we installed are in good working orderMy main roofing guy and I inspected the entire roof, everything is just rightI don't like to be destroyed in the social media because the homeowner believes what a third party, (the gutter guy) said about me or my company that ends up being falseAlso we asked *** for the latest insurance adjuster worksheet for over a month because we needed to see the amount the insurance had increased in the estimate*** took over a month to give us this information. When we finally got it, I explained *** in a detailed email what the insurance is covering and what they are not coveringThey wanted an invoice for all the work that is been done so far, I sent them the invoice and never received another payment for the work that is already completedWhen I asked *** how they wanted to proceed now that I have addressed all their concernsThey told me to talk with their attorney; I have been waiting for the attorney's response for over two weeks

Dear Revdex.com, I met *** after receiving the complaint to address all of their issues. This incident unfortunately happened on their project, but any of the occasion these people had a questions or a problem I met with them and resolved each one of themBoth, the *** and myself had a
bad experience with a subcontractor while he was working for me at the ***'s house and while he had a contract with them as wellI'm standing behind my work and year warranty on my job and I'm standing behind the work he did and the work he walked away fromAfter meeting the *** about all the issues, I believe all the issues are resolved to their satisfaction as well as mineMistakes were made, but my company will always honor our contract and put costumer satisfaction first.Thank You so very much

Revdex.com:

Our company had a contract with this costumer and in June of 2016 our company had special ordered  the siding and our siding subcontractor who has worked for us for twenty years. installed as the home owner had instructed them the day they installed the siding. After that we referred the...

homeowner to a contractor that agreed to complete the job and we no longer were involved in the project. I spoke to the contractor last September and he stated the work was all completed. In march 2017 I spoke to [redacted] who had contracted with the home owner to complete the project because he said [redacted] didn't finish it as he stated he did. [redacted] said he needed to get paid for the siding from my company, I stated to him that we didn't hire him and we have already installed the siding per the home owners request. After further review we decided to refund the money paid to us, after all our expenses for ordering and installing the siding. We paid [redacted] an additional amount he requested from us for the siding and we sent a check to the home owner. We feel like we didn't profit for this job and we are not responsible for what any other contractor has done in this project, but we feel that a refund was the proper thing to do. We feel like we have satisfied this complain.Thank you very much

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
We did meet with [redacted] and he paid us the promised money for the attorney we had to hire. We have agreed to disagree on some of the issues but feel that this is resolved and we are ready to move on.

We have followed the customer request that they did not want us to complete the project. Our contract states and I quote " supplemental claims build by Roundtree Inc on behalf of the homeowner and approved by the insurance company for additional work or increases in costs in addition to the contract are a part of this contract as if contained herein". The supplement is mailed to homeowner and they need to share those with us. We are waiting patiently. The homeowner told us that they were looking at legal action. Our legal councel advises us that when that ever would happen we are to contact her and stop communicating. I checked with roofing subcontractor about permit , and they pulled one last year and I'm waiting for them to give me a copy. We are prepared to settle this once we have a copy of the final supplements and will refund any money that is required after viewing it if any is owed. We have stated this before and hope this is the last time we have to explain this answer.  Thank youLenny R[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/09/10) */
Yes, Roundtree Inc. did contract with the [redacted]'s in April. Shortly after that time, we had negotiated with the insurance company for the work to be completed at an agreed upon price. The [redacted]'s received a check from the insurance company...

and needed to send it off to their lender for endorsement. When they received their check, for a small portion of the job, which was about 5,000 dollars, they gave us that money and we delivered the roofing and installed the roofing. Installed gutters on the front of the house. And the insurance paid to paint a portion of the house. And we made a side agreement with them to paint the entire house of which we completed the roof, the painting, and the gutters. There were skylights to be replaced and we needed to order those. At that time, we asked the homeowner as we ask all of our homeowners that need the inspector to inspect the work needed, we asked Mrs. [redacted] to call for the inspection and let us know when the insurance released the rest of the money for the roof. Which should have been about an additional 10,000 or 15,000 dollars. The material cost, for the work that had been completed up to that point, was about 15,000 dollars. So we felt that it wasn't unreasonable to ask for a percentage of completion inspection. We asked Mrs. [redacted] for this inspection twice and Mr. [redacted] once. And it was never called for. I had the skylight manufacturer representative come with me to the property to help me discover which skylights were needed for the house and ordered them. At that visit, Mr. [redacted] stood on his porch and screamed in my face loudly for at least 5 minutes. We got the skylights in and went to the house with the installer to install them. And at that time, Mrs. [redacted] wouldn't allow us to get on the roof to install them. I feel like our ability to resolve this, or even communicate with the [redacted]'s, is at a stop. So, we would appreciate any help from the Revdex.com to mediate this and come up with a satisfactory solution for all parties.

costumer on multiple occasions the difficulty of scheduling our subcontractors. We stood behind and corrected the poor workmanship of the gutter company. We let the homeowner know that we didn’t have the people to properly complete the rest of the project. We negotiated the supplements on the insurance claim with the insurance company. We have asked on several occasions for a copy of the final agreed upon supplements and the homeowner has refused to give us a copy. If the homeowner would give us a copy of that, we would be glad to meet their request and give them any refund that may be or may not be warranted.

I am rejecting this response because:
We agree with the business response that the gutter work was completed after they made the agreed upon repairs. We do not agree that the business informed us that they did not have the people to complete the work and would be stopping work. This was never communicated to us. We have been trying to get a hold of Lenny for months, and he has never reached out to us regarding this change. The few times we did reach him, we were told each time that the window repair man would be coming shortly. That was our last received communication from Lenny. We do not agree that he has asked for the supplement list from our insurance company. We had requested an invoice from him to compare to our initial estimate. This was not provided to us. Our insurance company sent us the invoice that Lenny sent them - this is the only record of requested supplements that we have. The additional money he requested from the insurance company (supplement check) we have not provided to him. Since the amount we have paid so far is higher than the amount of work he completed, we felt that it was not appropriate to provide him the remainder of the quoted price, until he had addressed our concerns. We have both our insurance estimate and Lenny's invoice, and have marked the items that we completed. We can provide this comparison upon request. We also do not believe that a roofing permit was ever pulled for our structure, nor an inspection completed, as required by the City of Denver. This information has not been provided to us. Sincerely,[redacted]
