Called Danny 440-292-from the business on 11/10/
Business indicated there is no possible way to prevent stress fractures from occurring when concrete is laidThe business owner indicated he has no idea what forced the patio to shiftThere are a variety of possibilities as to what could have made the shift occurThe business made the repairs to the wall and had a limited selection of caulking colors to select from so the business selected the color limestoneThe business' and consumers attorneys have been contacted to try and resolve the complaint as well

I see that Danny is possibly starting to come to terms with the fact that there are issues with the patio. As of today, my attorney has not heard anything from Danny or his attorneys. Danny is correct that he made an attempt to repair the wall. That repair was satisfactory for a brief time, but gaps have started to form once again. There are also cracks in the saw cuts now which Danny himself told me would be an issue. The caulk color obviously looks horrible, not to mention it is just a temporary fix to the broken concrete that it is hiding. Also, Danny has made no mention or attempt to address the pillar that is not straight. Bottom line is that this was a $7,000.00 patio. If this was something cheap the caulk would be acceptable. I spent my hard earned money and trusted Danny to build a patio and sitting wall for me that would last for years to come. The issues with the patio began withing a few months of it being installed. Had these issues happened several years down the road I would have been understanding. Not to mention I cooked Danny and his employees a huge meal all 3 days that they were at my home. I had a cooler out back for them that was filled with water and pop each day because they were working so hard. I know this wasn't part of the contract, but it makes it feel like even more of a slap in the face now that I have to go through all this extra hassle. All I wanted was a nice patio to enjoy, and instead ended up with a bunch of hassles.

RE: [redacted] 715 Bonneybrook Lane Brunswick Hills, OH 44212
Mr. [redacted] signed a contract with Salvaggi Construction in March to install his patio, wall, and...

columns. We completed his job on April 15th 2015. The manufacturer delivered the wrong lights originally by mistake. Therefore, we removed the caps off the columns and installed the proper lights for him in August. Also in August, Mr. [redacted] emailed me, Danny G[redacted], stating the steps and the wall seem to have moved 14-1/3 of an inch. The same day he contacted me was the day I, Danny G[redacted] went out and looked at the steps and wall. It appears that the steps and the column did settle Y4-1/3 of an inch. To this day, I can't figure out what caused the settling to occur. We ALWAYS follow standard ACI protocol. Excavate dirt/grass area, Install a compacted stone base, 6.5 sack blend concrete (4000psi), #10 wire mesh (And in this case also used #4 rebar). We fixed the gap in the wall and also caulked the gap between the steps. At this point in time, Mr. [redacted] agreed to those fixes. The patio is not falling apart at all. There are 0 structural cracks in the patio nor are their any structural cracks in the saw cuts. The Caulk, which was used, was colored "limestone". His patio is shades of grey and the walls are colored "limestone". The steps are not breaking apart and nothing is failed. We did not do a rush job repairing the wall. We did the repair when he was home and it was done correctly. There has been clearly some movement in and around his whole property ([redacted]) to cause this to happen. Salvaggi Construction has been in business since 1976 servicing all of Northeast Ohio. There was nothing done to cause this to happen, nor was there any "poor work" performed at Mr. [redacted] home nor did "We mess up", as stated by Mr. [redacted]. I have offered to remedy the situation by removing the patio and steps at cost and replacing them at cost. Mr. [redacted] has turned that down.
