Salvation Law Group Reviews (12)

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, I have been trying to get in touch with someone and have left many, many, many ,many messages but to no avail. I am a customer that paid them $3,500 to modify a loan that they stated could save me $500 to $700 a month. Now they will hide behind all of their legal mumbo jumbo about " no promises being made" even though they were. I would never recommend this to anyone because they do NOTHING BUT PUSH PAPER AND THEN DON'T EVEN HAVE THE DESCENCY TO CALL ME BACK. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Review: I CONTACTED THIS COMPANY TO HELP WITH A MODIFICATION FOR MY HOME. I SENT THEM $1500 AND NOTHING WAS DONE. NO MODIFICATION AND NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE OR RETURN MY CALLS. I DID THIS IN MAY 2014 AND I STILL CANNOT CONTACT ANYONE THERE. THIS WAS A HOAX AND I WANT MY FUNDS BACK. THIS SUPPOSEDLY LAW FIRM DID NOTHING TO HELP ME AND THEY DO NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS BUT IT WAS NO PROBLEM TO TAKE MY MONEY. NOW I WILL BE STARTING A LAWSUIT AGAINS THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TALK TO ME OR RETURN MY CALLS. ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK ASAP.Desired Settlement: I WOULD JUST LIKE MY MONEY BACK $1500.00

Review: Salvation law group told me I was a perfect fit for Home loan reduction program. If I would pay $ 1,167 a month They would make my payments and get me a loan modification., both did not Happen.

They took my money $1,167.00 for three months and denied my request for loan reduction and I am three moths over due on my payments. This was a scam from the start.Desired Settlement: I want my $ 3,500 back for I can pay my house note they were to pay. I will not have a home to live in with out that money.

Review: In February 2014, I had received a notification in the mail stating that Salvation Law Group worked with individuals to assist with modifications to mortgages. I contacted them and explained my situation in detail about how the deed is in both my name and my father's, but the mortgage was only in my father's name and he had passed away in June 2013. I also explained that I had been working with the lender since his passing to obtain a modification on the property, but to no satisfaction and this was the reason I was reaching out the them to see if they knew of avenues I was just not aware of pursuing.

I had asked multiple times if this was a case that they felt they would be able to assist me with a modification for my primary residence and each person I asked throughout the initial process said yes they have worked with people in these situations previously and were able to help.

After paying $3,950 and a few months of back and forth with the Salvation processor, I was informed by the lender they still could not grant me a modification, this was June 2014. I then reached out to the processor and she sent me the following email:

from: [redacted] to: [redacted] Alston

date: Thu, Jun 12, 2014 at 11:10 AM

[redacted],

We have had cases with other lenders which have allowed modifications in situations like yours, unfortunately "X" Mortgage Company is not allowing it in your case. At this point there is nothing further that we can do for you.

I will send your file to our retention department and let them know the situation and ask that they refund you your money.

Regards,

I have tried to contact the processor as well as anyone else at the company for the past 5 months and no one has returned my messages or provided me with a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded as mentioned in the communication, since the company mentioned on numerous occasions that they would be able to assist given my circumstances. Additionally, when they were not able to assist, I was informed since they were not able to help I would be refunded.

Review: I recently lost my job and asked for assistance from my mortgage lender for mortgage payment reduction. My lender was unable to assist at the time, I was actually current but foresaw difficulty in the near future continuing to pay with my reduced income. Salvation Law Group mailed a letter to me informing me to contact them for mortgage payment relief. I contacted SLG and was immediately sold on their sales pitch. SLG stated, we will reduce your mortgage payment because interest rates range from 2-5% and, according to their staff member, I looked like an exceptional candidate for mortgage payment reduction. The representative said everything except "guarantee" in order to reassure me this was a done deal and I could look forward to, and expect, a significant savings. This would make my payment more affordable and allow me to remain current. They explained their fee of 3600 which could be broken down into 3 monthly payments, to which I said, "I can't afford to pay you 1200/month and pay my lender." SLG advised me, this was not an issue...while in loan modification process, I was not required to make a payment while loan was under review. SLG also stated this process would be completed within 90 days and once the mod was approved, the payments I missed would be worked back into the loan. SLG did not follow through with my lender to ensure they were getting the documents required. 90 days pass however and after missing 3 payments (from their advice) I was now in foreclosure and my lender would accept nothing less than full payment. I ultimately had to submit the documents myself and do what they had not. Currently I am still under mod review and several months behind. SLG's inability to deliver on their promises resemble incompetence, however I believe that they are a scam. Never mind the fact that I am doing what they were supposed to do, they string you along like they are helping. I feel SLG is a dangerous organization due to potential they have to affect an outcome like the one I experienced.Desired Settlement: I would like my $3600 returned. They did not deliver on their dubious promises and with their advice, made things considerably worse for me and my situation. I ultimately had to complete the work they did not, I have incurred several late payments to my credit, additional fees from the lender, and untold amount of stress related to this issue.

Review: I, [redacted] and my husband [redacted] paid The Company (Salvation Law Group) for a Loan Modification $2,250 not even 2 weeks of paying them I come to find out my house was "SOLD" which I had no idea I even had a sale date. I was always following up with [redacted] she was who was my contact regarding my Loan Mod. I had just recently spoke to her when she inform me that my Loan was with the underwriter reviewing my case. Never did she inform me of a sale date nor that my house was sold I found out because the Realtor whom bought my home came with proof of the purchase paperwork. I was so speechless all this time I was under the impression that they were actually doing something for me and my family to save our home. I contacted [redacted] and [redacted] all whom work with Salvation Law Grp., but was impossible of getting a hold of anyone due to me leaving a detail message of what was going on so it was obvious that they were all avoiding me. [redacted] finally answer my called informed me that she was taking care of it that she herself did not know my home was sold and that she was talking to Chase Bank the previous owner, according to [redacted] they were trying to reverse the sale. She kept telling me this for a few days until I seen nothing was happening so I then spoke to her requesting my money back due to not following through and not doing they're job she then told me she would talk to her Manager it has been over 2 weeks and I have left several messages and have not heard anything back at all. I am asking for your assistance because I believe that they just Scammed me by never doing anything for me but Fraud. I ask that you please help me get my money back as I can use it for a new place to live ASAP.

Thank you,Desired Settlement: I hope to receive a full refund in cash cause I do not trust them with a check and also for them to go out of business as I have read comments that I am not the only one they have done this to. This Company does nothing but FRAUD..

Review: Salvation Law Group contacted me after two failed mortgage refinance attempts through other businesses. Salvation Law Group (SLG), specifically [redacted] and [redacted], sold themselves as lawyers/agents for SLG, specializing in Mortgage modifications; stating that after reviewing my case and supplied information, that I was a prime candidate for a mortgage modification and that their firm maintains an almost 100% success rate for their mortgage modification candidates. They said I could expect a reduction in my mortgage interest rate from 5.5% to 2-3% and savings of $500-700 per month in mortgage payments and that once the modification was complete there would be no mortgage payment for the first month; reducing my out of pocket expenditures to less that $1000 dollars. The whole process was to take 2-4 months with 3 monthly payments of $1166.67 on 3 post dated checks. Once SLG had the 3 checks and they submitted the mortgage modification package to the mortgage company, all the coorespondance regarding the Mort Mod was from the mortgage co; not SLG. I also found out thru the Mortgage co that I could have filed everything myself, with no cost. SLG supplied no updates without me contacting them via email or phone. They cashed the first 2 checks; $2333.34, and then I was notified by the mortgage company that I was not qualified for a mortgage modification. SLG was completely unaware and continued to make excuses until it was time to cash the last check, which I put a stop on. SLG is running a scam, praying on stuggling homeowners. I have asked them for copies of their paperwork and phone recordings. I have received nothing. I've been screwed over by SLG.Desired Settlement: I'd like my money back and an apology.

While we regret to find that Mr. [redacted] was unhappy with the services he has received, all work performed and related billing activity has been in accordance with the terms of service agreed to by Mr. [redacted] on 10.25.13. (available upon request)

Review: They sent us a letter about getting our mortgage adjusted , we called and explain the entire process with [redacted] which was nice we fax all paper work to her included the old modification informtion that had been offered in the past several times , we then explain to [redacted] that if it could not be afforable there was no need to go any further our spend money for the same result , well he explain and said it would defiantly not be the same amount we recording him to be on safe side , well are next step was to talk to I guess a specialist there was a immediate change in the setting but we said some professional can sound a little over board any way , [redacted] was never nice she one contact us once by phone , when asking question via email she always seem mean but your working for us right , well she got a modification but the same one we got for free with the same terms nothing ever change then kept telling us to hurry and sign it's just trial payment , yeah ones we can't afford that the whole problem and the payment was $10 higher also she had letter and response from Wells we never got so we ask for and appraisal during denial they agree well why we never got all the other letter except the denial so I reach out to [redacted] and mysteriously all the letter appeared and when I contact Wells once again they had no ideal of who this place was and them working on my behalf when I confronted her about it she got really nasty and said we provided service and there will be no refund good luck and when I ask for higher management she never responded but in earlier email told me if I wanted to go that route then that is who I should call , I may loose but please don't let anybody eles loose there money and pay there bill off our hard earn money just do it your self same results.Desired Settlement: Full refund , never reach affordable mortgage other than the one I fax to them I had already received on my own no outcome performed to what [redacted] said was possible.

Review: We were contacted by Salvation Law Group about a loan modification. We went through an approval process with them to see if we qualified. They promised us a modification between 2 and 3%. They stated that once we were accepted, the lowest rate we would get would be 3%. They also stated that if for some reason the bank rejected our modification, we would be refunded our money. These conversations took place between [redacted], my Wife ([redacted]) and myself. They recorded these conversations and will not provide the recording or return any attempts to contact them to resolve this matter. They charged us 3500.00 and have not provided any services and will not respond to our calls. Salvation Law Group is running a fraudulent business and preying on home owners that are struggling with their mortgages.Desired Settlement: I would like Salvation Law Group to refund our money based on the conversations we had and the verbal commitments that they made.

Review: I was contacted by Salvation Law Group in April telling me that they could get my mortgage modified under President Obamas loan modification program. I explained to them that I was in the middle of a loan modification of $2,235.17 and had one more payment to go before it became permanent. They told me not to make that payment and that they could get my payment lowered to between 1800 and 2000. I asked them what their success rate was and they stated 97%. They said the 3% of people they couldn't help were people that didn't hand in their documents. I gave them a $3,500 retainer and filled out the necessary paperwork. I was just advised two weeks ago that the modification they got for me was $2,235.17 which is the same one I already had. I spoke with the mortgage company and they said that there was no way they could have gotten me a lower payment because that was the lowest allowable under the program per FHA. They should have known they couldn't help me and not take my money.Desired Settlement: I want my $3,500 that I paid to them back. That was alot of money and we were affected heavily by [redacted] and need this back since they did nothing for us.
