Before I could have any work done by L & L Auto and Diesel, the owner (Lee) told me (from feet away in his garage) that I had acted like a "***" and an "***" to his tech a few days earlierI asked what he was talking about and he repeated his accusationI told him I didn't remember treating or speaking to his tech ANYTHING like that (because I just don't treat ANYONE like that) and proceeded to tell Lee the way I recalled the conversation with his tech(I went to L & L Auto and Diesel and asked about having the back spark plugs replaced in my *** RXThe tech went and asked Lee about how much it would be to do the workA few minutes later the tech returned and told me it would be $Surprised at the cost, I asked the tech "why would be so much to replace only spark plugs? Especially since I had already purchased the NGK plugs." The tech said "we have to remove the windshield wipers, the windshield wiper motor, the cowling for the windshield wiper motor, the manifold and other things just to get at the rear plugs." I told him I didn't think I could afford that and that I may just have to go home and see if I could get to the plugs myselfBut, if I couldn't get to it, I'd bring it back in to themOver the weekend I thought about it and decided it would be better to have a professional handle it; so, I went back to L & L Auto and Diesel.)
Lee said he "would do the job and wipe the slate clean" IF I would apologizeSo, although I had done NOTHING wrong, I apologized to Lee and his tech (who was staying in the shadows of the corner of the garage)I believe what most likely had happened is that Lee's tech misrepresented to Lee WHAT I had said and HOW I had said things by lying, twisting the truth and exaggerating the entire conversation between usRegardless though, Lee should NEVER have spoken to me the way he didA professional would have asked me to clarify my conversation with his employee; but, of course, that's not what happenedAfter leaving L & L Auto and Diesel, I took my car to *** *** and had the work done for $less!
