I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

*** *** Dear Mary:Ironically, you miss the core of your problem. You and your shop promised a ten week interval to recane chairs. At months I wanted my chairs back. I stopped by multiple times and spoke with you in person after my telephone calls to your business were not returned. You reset the due date each time I spoke with you. At months I again stopped at your shop to pick up my chairs. I waited about minutes in your lobby - but you did not notice me as you were too busy playing with someone elses child while doing a truck rental. When that customer stepped out you then noticed me and I asked for my chairs. You told me that one was complete but one still had additional work to do. I asked for both chairs and told you I would pay for the completed chair. Then you admitted you still hadn't finished either chair. I asked for the return of both chairs. When you demanded extra money for the cane I'd already prepaid for and you haven't finished either chair it would be typical for a month delay to make anyone upset. Most of all you failed to return either chair when requested. You failed to complete your work in the multiple deadlines you set yourself. You then tried to blame me for getting upset when really there was valid cause for anyone be be upset. Instead of repairing my chairs or returning my chairs to me you called the police on your customer who you still refused to return the chairs to unless its scheduled weeks in advance according to the letter you mailed me last month. Most of all, this complaint serves as a warning to all that Sam and Mary's Woodworking cannot complete tasks agreed to verbally, or in contract. Beware of Sam and Mary's Woodworking. If you happen to stop by their shop take a look around and see the graveyard of carpentry work, and cane work that has tags on them from years ago but work is still not completed. BEWARE

July 5, 2017To Whom it may Concern,Mr*** did come by the shop to ask about his chairsI was with another customer who had his year old son alongAnother elderly customer came just behind Mr***Without waiting his turn, Mr*** began shouting and yelling about his chairs, saying
that if l didn’t get them, he would -At this point, I stopped him, asking if he was threatening meWhen he said yes, I said I was calling the policeMr*** replied ‘Go ahead and XXXXXXX call the police.As I was calling, Mr*** was still yelling and screaming, turning red in the face and coming closerI asked him to go outside and when he didn’t move, my husband, Sam, had make sure he went outside - away from meThe other two customers were so concerned that they asked if they should stay until the police showed up.The police were prompt, but by the time they arrived, Mr*** had left in his carI gave a description of him and vehicleI was told that if he returned, I should call the police again.I sent Mr*** a letter stating that, because of his behavior, I wouldn’t finish the chair of his that I was working on and he could come pick them up, after first calling to make sure I had NO contact with himThere is no further amount due as the cane ordered for his chairs was used on another jobHowever, his deposit will NOT be refunded because The old cane was removed from both seats and the holes were cleaned out The new caning is 3/done on one chair.As I stated, Mr*** can come and get these chairs anytime, but I will have NO dealings with himIt seems he ‘forgot’ to tell about the police when he sent the letter to the Revdex.comA copy of the police report can be sent if needed

RE: *** *** On April 16th, customer brought fully upholstered chair to Sam & Mary's woodworks, for a repair to the legJune 18th, chair was returned to customer, and the bill was paid.June 26th, mother called the shop to say that ‘the chair was not repaired, it was still loose’Mother
was told that we couldn't see how that was possible, as the chair was not loose when it left Sam & Mary's WoodWorks the week beforeShe was asked ‘ was she sure it was the same one that had been at the shop for repair? ‘ {because customer has several identical chairs}She stated that she ‘didn’t know for sure’She was then asked to bring the chair back to the shop so we could determine if it was, indeed the same chair we had previously worked onThe mother said she would have her daughter {the customer] call to bring the chair to Sam & Mary's WoodWorks when the daughter got back from vacation.Daughter called over the 4th of July weekend while we were closed for the holiday and left a messageBefore anyone could call her back, she called here yelling and upset about the chairShe was asked several times to please bring the chair back so we could look at it, but instead became verbally abusive to an employee, stating that ‘if we wouldn’t fix it, she would take us to court and report us to the Revdex.com’At NO time was the customer told to 'never call here again’.IF our repair has failed, we will certainly redo the job at no additional cost, trying another method, BUT if it is not the same chair there WILL be additional costsThere is no way to determine which chair is which over the phoneCustomer needs to bring the chair into Sam & Mary's WoodWorks so we can look at itAlso, customer must be present so she can be shown the repair { or failure}This must be done here at the shop because the fabric dust cover has to be removed and restapled to the underside of the chair.We have been in business for almost years, and we STAND by our workBUT, again can't determine much of ANYTHING over the phoneChair MUST be brought in for us to LOOK at it.Sam & Mary's WoodWorks
