Purchased motorcycle handlebar risers from this business. They broke on the highway while I was going 65mph and could of killed me. A small piece that didn't break completely through was the only thing that saved my life.I contacted the owner via email including pictures and and received no response. I called daily until I was able to speak with him. I gave him the opportunity to make the situation right. I requested a refund or to be sent a higher quality item. Even though I was nice and professional he would talk over me any chance he could, raise his voice and was overall very rude and defensive.he claimed that it's my fault they broke. not sure how? and that just take this as a "life lesson" and "move on"the only life lesson i'm receiving is to not purchase anything from [redacted] in the future.he then wanted to SELL ME the same item but in higher quality I didnt know existed at the time. [redacted] claimed that the handlebar clamps are not meant for aftermarket handlebars. Item is to be used on select years on a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Mr [redacted] used the item on a different brand motorcycle with handlebars that were way too tall so it caused stress fractures in the material which in turn caused product failure. Item was used in an application they were not meant to be used in. Because of this were will NOT refund or supply a different item at no charge.Sam Power Sports Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)when I called, the owner said the risers he sold me are cast aluminum. They are sub-quality, and oem is Forged aluminum. In his ad I was not aware of this, they are priced very competitively, higher than other vendors so when purchasing you expect quality. The fact that its used on a Kawasaki instead of a Harely makes no difference the spacing is the same. The dimensions are the same. They are not brand specific. There is no disclaimer that they are made of sub quality material and break easily, not to use a certain style of handlebars. He knowingly puts his customers in danger. He with holds information from customers that could potentially harm or kill them. Final Business Response We have stated our side on this issue and we consider it closed.
