4/17/17 To Whom It May Concern: This response is in regards to complaint number *** filed against Sam’s Home ImprovementAfter multiple visits to this residence from July to March 2017, I did not find a leak in the roofI have inspected the roof multiple times and there are no issues with the roof as I have explained to the home owner multiple timesAt this point, I propose we bring in an independent inspector to inspect the roof and the issues in powder roof and the second floor bedroom in order to put an end to this situation. To Whom It May Concern: This response is in regards to complaint number *** filed against Sam’s Home ImprovementMy company performed a roof replacement at this location in I was contacted by the homeowner regarding what they thought was a roof leak in June The reason the homeowner
believed there was a roof leak was a soft spot under the wallpaper in their ground level bathroomI followed up with their phone call and performed an inspection for any signs of a potential leak in their roofI inspected the siding, shingles, flashing, and dormers of the roof for any sign of a leakAfter finding no signs of a leak, I informed the homeowner that there was no roof leakAfter a few weeks, I received another call from this homeowner claiming that there was still a leak in their roofI followed up for a second time and performed a new inspection to identify any potential signs of a roof leakOnce again, I found no signs of a roof leak and informed the homeowner that there was no leak in their roofThe homeowner continued to contact me regarding this matter after I had explained to them that the roof was not the source of their issueThe homeowner then proceeded to file a complaint with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), on 3/20/After the complaint was filed, I made another visit to the home on 3/21/to check for any signs of a potential leakOnce again, there were no signs of a roof leakI explained to the homeowner that their roof was not the source of their issue in their ground level bathroomAfter this visit, I followed up with the homeowner over the phone and asked if they had a bathroom upstairs that could be the source of the soft spot in their ground level bathroomThe homeowner confirmed that there was a second level bathroom directly above their ground level bathroomAfter realizing this, I attempted to explain to the homeowner that the source of their soft spot in their ground level bathroom could be the result of a plumbing issueAdditionally, I agreed with the homeowner that I would make another visit to the home after a rain storm to see if there was a leak in the roofI made this visit on Saturday, 4/1/17, after a rainy Friday, 3/31/I performed another inspection of the roof for a potential leakOnce again I inspected the siding, shingles, flashing, and dormers for any sign of a leakDue to the recent rain storm, if there was a leak in the roof it would have been evident in these areasAfter performing the inspection on the roof, the homeowner and I went into the attic in an attempt to identify any wet spots that would indicate a roof leakThis additional inspection, with the homeowner present, also resulted in no signs of a roof leakAfter this inspection on 4/1/17, the day after a rain storm, I have proven to the homeowner that there is no roof leak and there has not been a roof leak since we replaced the roof. Regards, Samuel T*** President
