Sams Arcade & Vending Repair Reviews (2)

I called Sam's arcade and Vending in May to repair my jukebox that was not ejecting recordsHe came out to my house and looked at itHe said he could fix the problem, and it would probably be a couple hundred dollarsSam took apart my jukebox and brought the record carriage to his shop for repairSam had the record carriage for about a yearDuring that time I was the one who had to initiate all communicationsI was never contacted by Sam, but every 2-weeks I called and asked about the progressHe brought the record carriage back about a year later, installed it and it still did not work, so Sam asked if he could bring my jukebox to his shop to work on it moreThen about months later, after I called every few weeks to check the progress, I got a response that Sam could not fix my jukebox I told him I just want to make arrangements for my jukebox to be returned to me, but was told if I did not pay him over $for the work he had done so far I could not have my jukebox backAfter going back and forth (because I was not at all satisfied) we made an agreement that Sam would send me a contract (because until this point I had no contract or terms/conditions from him) and the terms would be laid out to give a reasonable timeframe and expected costSam never sent me a contract and he did more work anyway, so now in January he told me my jukebox was restored and I owed him over $and I had to pay him extra to return my jukebox that he had picked up from my house at no chargeHe told me if I did not get it within days he would start charging me $per day storage fees! I wanted my jukebox returned to me, and I thought it was fixedHe was providing a day warranty on the repair, so I just wanted to be done with him and have my restored/working jukebox at my homeThe problem was that after Sam dropped off my jukebox and I paid him $1234, it still was not workingIt would work for an hour or so, and then would need something fixedEvery time I called him for repair he took 10-days to come to my house and now he says I am out of warrantyIt has been days since he dropped my jukebox off at my house, at least of which I spent waiting for service and not able to play it!
The entire time Sam had my jukebox apart, from May 13, when he took the carriage through June when he took my jukebox to his shop until November when I wanted my jukebox back, nothing had been authorized by me as far as storage charges, delivery fees, whatever parts he ordered, etcother than that it would cost a couple hundred dollars and that I told him I did not want to put a lot into it, $maxHe did all the work, then couldn't fix it and wanted over $to return it still broken, then he did something that was supposed to be pre-authorized by the contract I asked him to give me, but while I was still waiting on the contract (since I could not get my jukebox back from him because it was at his shop which is only open by appointment) he did the repairs at a final cost of over $
Sam did not follow the terms of his own warranty, he did not fix my jukebox, and I have never received an itemized break down of the parts he put into my jukebox or the work he has doneHad I known that Sam was just a repairman with a storage facility that was not even climate-controlled I would have not hired himSam's Arcade and Vending is represented on its website as having a shop/facility with the ability to perform state of the art repairs, with professional experts who have had high tech training and are college graduates who graduated "top of their class." The website says he has a team of peopleWhen I contacted the shop to speak to Sam about my repairs, the secretary told me Sam was "one of our technicians" and I would have to contact the "office manager" to make an appointmentI have since found out that Sam is the owner and ONLY technician and there is no high tech team or facilityIt is just Sam and his storage unit

It's been a year now and my machine is still not fixed, this guy took $up front and now wants another$before they give my parts back which are still not working apparentlyI have benn asking for a break down invoice for months as too how they have come up with the extra payment when clearly I was told no extra payment due all the time they come to my home to do repairs, I have not seen anyone for months and they will not respond to my emailsAfter speaking to the owners wife on the phone who was very rude and aggressive I decided not to call by phone as I have never been shouted at or spoken too in that way, I just want my broken parts back
