Sam's Jewelry & Watch Repair

I paid Sam's Jewelry and Watch Repair of *** to maintain my Omega but they damaged it instead and won't refund me.
Sam's damaged my Omega Speedmaster Day Date Automatic Chronograph that my grandfather gave me. I took my watch for routine maintenance to Sam's and *** helped me at said he would work on the watch personally and give it a full service. When I picked up my watch, the date was not changing correctly (it started switching at 8PM!) and the hands were misaligned. So I left the watch with *** (the owner) to attempt to fix it again. When I came back to pick up the watch next time, the hands were still misaligned (a different way) and I gave them a third opportunity to fix it. When I picked up the watch for the third time, the hands were aligned and the date was switching closer to the right time, but I found when I got home that the automatic winding no longer worked.

*** solution was for me to take back my watch a 4th time! I had enough, if you can't fix an Omega with an ETA movement after the first 3 tries, then lack the basic competence to fix it...period. *** refused to refund my money despite his repeated mistakes. I fought the charge with my credit card company and *** still insisted that he did "quality" work and was due payment.

I took my watch to a better repair shop after this to fix my watch and they showed me under loupe that Sam's Jewelry had scratched the dial, hands, and caseback of my grandfather's Omega! Not only did Sam's fail to repair my watch, they also damaged it and still wouldn't refund my $400 fee! This is outrageous. They should pay me for the damages, not me to fund them to practice watch tinkering on my heirloom. I will absolutely never trust Sam's Jewelry for any task again. He cheated me of my money and cannot be trusted to work on fine Swiss timepieces, even common ETA movement based ones. The only thing worse than a watchmaker who lacks skill is one who lacks integrity.

I paid $400 for the repair using my *** on 8/14/19, the same day that I picked up the watch the first time. I returned it shortly thereafter. I tried to pick up my watch for a second time on 10/18/19 but refused to accept it upon inspection that it was still broken. The last and final date I picked up the watch was 11/15/19. I used it for a few days and discovered the automatic winding mechanism was malfunctioning so I filed for a refund and credit card dispute on 11/19/19 for the $400. Citi found in favor of Sam's (no explanation given) and recharged me my $400 on my statement ending 1/15/20, which is why I am filing this complaint and seeking a reconciliation via Revdex.com.
