The last time Samson was at my residence was November 18, when they finally came back to finish the punch-list items from their August 19 and October 31 uncompleted projects. They left without completing their work once again, and did not answer my question of when they are coming back. A week later on November 23, I sent an email to Samson regarding the remaining punch-list items, that was also never answered. After waiting 4 weeks with no communication from Samson, it was clear that they abandoned my project. Consequently, I filed this complaint and requested that their punch-list be completed promptly within one week. After 6 weeks passed with no communication from Samson, I gave up. On December 30, I made arrangements with another contractor to complete the work. I have an urgent need to complete the repairs, so I may repaint my home to satisfy my HOA CC&R’s requirements. Further, I do not agree with Samson’s comments about the incorrectly fabricated out-swing door. Informing me now, that I am responsible for their $500 cost two months after the incident occurred, is nonsense. My written specifications and photos called for it to be an in-swing door, as it is now. Changing the swing direction was never discussed. Samson viewed, measured, discussed with me, and took notes of this in-swing door location twice. Most importantly, their manufacturer EL & EL Wood Products Order Confirmation # [redacted] , dated October 12, shows that this door was ordered correctly as an in-swing, and their cost was $362, and not the inflated $500 amount.
