Samson Stone Reviews (2)

Per our conversation, this is my testimony/response to the received complaint. Ms. [redacted] came to the retail location to purchase stone. After weighing the stone (500+ lbs.) and paying, shop employee Hunter prepares to load into her small truck. She asks if the truck will "be alright". ...

Hunter tells her yes, that the axle will befine with that much weight.  He explains that he will load directly over the axles. When starting to load the 500+lb pallet, Hunter stops and tells Ms. [redacted] that he doesn't' think the pallet will fitbecause her wheel wells are too narrow for this wide pallet.  Hunter then tells Ms. [redacted] that there are two choices.1. Take all the stone off the pallet and load it into her truck by hand2. Place the pallet on top of the wheel wells. Ms. [redacted] tells Hunter, "Just go ahead and put it on top of the wheel wells"Hunter does as instructed.  Ms. [redacted] never asked him to STOP or try a different route.Ms. [redacted] drives away with pallet in the back of her small truck exactly how Hunter had been instructed to do. I think Ms. [redacted] confusion is when she asked "will the truck be alright?"Hunter's reply was yes, in regards to the axles.  He then gave her an explanation. After the explanation, he told her about the wheel wells being too narrow and she told him to load anyway.Furthermore, regarding her complaint about delivery, it is not our job to tell her to get it delivered.Customers buy stone from us daily and either pick it up themselves or ask if it can be delivered. She states that my response was "you should have had it delivered".  That was only one of the many things thatI mentioned to her as she continued to yell at me and talk over me demanding that I pay for repairs. If a customer want's delivery, they typically inquire about it.  If they show up in a truck and expect us to load it, that's what we do. On 2/28/2017 after I received the very threatening call from Ms. [redacted] demanding that I pay for a dent in herbed liner and ending with "you haven't heard the last of me", Ms. [redacted] niece, [redacted],  called me.[redacted] informed me that her aunt suffered from extreme anxiety and that she had some mental problems.[redacted] apologized for her aunt and told me that it was such a minor issue on the truck that she ([redacted]) could probablyfix it herself.  She also said that she strongly believed that the repair shop gave her a ludicrous estimate and was taking advantage of her.[redacted] told me not to worry about it and that her aunt should have never asked us to load the material in her little truck to start with.  Please let me know that you have received this email and if you need any additional information.Again, this is in regards to a complaint filed by Ms. [redacted] on 2/28/2017, ID #[redacted]. Thank you, Silas L[redacted]864-[redacted]

Mr.L[redacted] has added his own twist to the conversation he had with my niece, [redacted], and certainly embellished what was said. She never stated that I was "mentally ill".  [redacted] said that the damage to my truck had affected me emotionally and caused me to be anxious and upset. The fact is she was calling Mr. L[redacted] on my behalf because I wanted someone who was emotionally removed from the situation to speak with him in hopes he would accept at least half of the responsibility. My niece travels by Samson Stone a minimum of 6 times a week and has never noticed the orange sign in the window stating they accepted no responsibility for any damages.  Second fact is Hunter should have been trained to not set pallets on top of fender wells. The bouncing of that weight would dent any vehicle. The pallet should have been placed flat on the bed of my truck and no damage would have occurred. If the pallet did not fit it should have been unloaded or delivery should have been suggested instead. Third there should be signage stating delivery fees and the ability of the company to make deliveries. I saw no signage stating " we deliver".  Since the business is so small it could be thought they did not offer delivery. It looks more like a cash and carry location.  Its a bad situation for all but I feel Samson does hold at least half of the responsibility in this unfortunate mistake. The only statement Mr. L[redacted] quoted to be true was, I said, " he had not heard the last from (of) me". Not sure how that can be deemed threatening. The rest is absolutely untrue. Perhaps I should take him to small claims court.Mr L[redacted] is stating what he has about the conversation because he thinks he is protecting his business. If he really wants to protect his business he should do the right thing and help get my fender wells repaired. Hunter is a 20 year old kid who is still learning and this will be a lesson for him. It's unfortunate his lack of training left my vehicle with 2 fist sized dents.
