Stylist cut off at least 2/3rd of length that I clearly labeled as "Finally grown out" just minutes earlier.When originally calling Samuel Cole Salon, 8511 Colonade Center Drive, Suite 120 in Raleigh, NC. I requested a "Shag specialist" and was referred to [redacted]. On February 25th, at 6:45 pm I had my second hair appointment with [redacted] Having gone through my intentions to grow my hair long extensively during our 1st session, I proudly pointed out to her that my hair finally had reached the necessary minimum length for the haircut I intended. I asked her to shorten the top and showed her a picture of how short - noting not to look at the rest of the picture because the rest of the hair on the picture is too short. Instead, I told [redacted] I wanted gradually longer layers to encompass the length of my hair - the basics of a shag.She commented that "This will look raggy, and what if I take away some of the heaviness in the back". Naturally, some - means a little to most people, including me.I am not sure if she messed up or did it intentionally - she cut off at least 2/3rd of the length of my hair on the back of my head - thus erasing 2 years of growing my hair out. As if that is not enough, she left the sides long - so now I have these two weird long strands on the side of my face that don't go with the shortness of the back of my head. It also looks like a mullet instead of a shag. Because she left these long strands on the side I did not realize what she had done to the back of my head until I washed my hair later that night! I have contacted the salon, but have not received any response.What I cannot get over is that this stylist ignored what I wanted and cut the hair the way she wanted!!!!Desired Settlementrefund, and service until length restoredBusiness Response We have meet with this client and her service cost was refunded. The delay in response was due to the owner being out of town. We apologized for the delay and the owner meet with her to personally apologize and to consult and recommend another stylist to visit in the future. Client made a future appointment at the end of the consultation with the owner. Client stated she was satisfied with our remedy.Final Consumer Response It is correct that I met with the owner, and it is correct that he suggested another stylist. However, it is not correct that I am 'satisfied.' In my mind a stylist that blatantly ignores what the client wants, and then sneakingly cuts hair short where the client cannot see it while leaving the sides and neckarea long, should not be licensed! I am now left with a short area in the back of my head while the rest of my hair is long! Looking like a clown, all I can do is wait for a very long time until the back of my head grows in again. So, satisfied? Resigned, accepting of the fact, yes. Satisfied, no.Final Business Response We are very sorry and regret that she had a unsatisfactory service.
