Review: I purchased a reconditioned appliance from this vendor and paid them to deliver the unit and haul away my old unit. When I called and spoke with [redacted], he had told me that he had a Whirlpool 20 cubic foot refrigerator in white that he would sell and deliver to me. He said that the unit had been reconditioned, and that he offered a 30 day warranty in the event that there was an issue, which he said has rarely ever happened. The day of delivery, he sent me pictures of a unit and said that the color was bisk. I asked if it was the same unit and he said yes. When he arrived at my home, the unit was NOT the same unit, nor the same size. It was much smaller and also had doors on the wrong side, compared to what we spoke about. He said that I could switch it and that it was in great working order, etc. I wasn't pleased, but had taken time away from work and needed to get back, so I accepted the unit and paid him the agreed upon price, even though I wasn't very pleased. He took my old fridge and left, and I returned from work. When I returned home, the unit that he delivered smelled rancid and I went to clean it off thinking it may have just been sitting, etc. After attempting to clean the unit out, I realized how disgusting the unit was. It had been spray painted and didn't even appear to have been cleaned, and it was making the entire room smell horrible. I called, texted and emailed [redacted] over the course of the next few days...no response. I then reached him on Sunday, following the Thursday delivery, and told him about the issues and asked what we could do. He told me he was with a customer and would call me back in 10 minutes. I emailed him again to ensure that he had my contact information and never heard from him. I called him from work on Monday, and caught him when using another number. He said to hold on, and then hung up on me. I was polite and courteous the entire time, and now I am feeling like I got scammed.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company to replace the disgusting unit, or return my money back. The unit that I was replacing was in much better shape and better working order then what he delivered. I would rather have kept that unit as the smell and mold on the unit that SD Appliance Center delivered is truly junk. It appears to be missing parts, spray painted, and is moldy and smelly

Review: On June 24 I hired this company to fix my washing machine as I was going away on business for 4 weeks and my wife had been complaining about the fact the spin cycle mostly does not work, They came by and said it was the switch and it would cost $137 to replace, I thought that was on the high side for a switch but as it was guaranteed for 12 months. I let them go ahead. a few days late on my trip I get a call from my wife saying the problem had not been fixed so I told her to call the number. She called and left several messages but got no response. I am now back in town and I called the number and left a message, no response so I called the number several times said nothing and let the answering machine time out. Out of curiosity they called me back and I told them to be at my house today. They showed up and looked at it again and said it must be mechanical and too expensive to fix but they would offer to sell me a new machine and take of the $137 as a discount so it would only cost $675. I went on the Sears website and I can buy one like the one I have for $370. these guys need running out of town.Desired Settlement: I am an engineer so I knew it was not the switch but they were convinced it was and said "our work is guaranteed for a year so if it is not that we will come back and fix it" Ya right?? They make sure not to answer the phone if it's a customer they have done work for. however I used another number so they did not know it was me till they called back. I could have bought a switch for $8 so I need a full refund and I will give them the switch back.

I Cannot file a complaint because I have filed in small claims--Totally unprofessional business. Failed to do a proper diagnosis, made misleading false statements, failed to honor warranty, tremendous overcharge--I got absolutely nothing for a $460.00 charge but spoiled food and the expense of another company to tell me in 5 minutes that I needed a new refrigerator. I did not check them out (mistake) because they were referred by Home Adviser.

Review: I called SD Appliance center when my refrigerator was making noise. They came out right away and charged $45 to diagnose the problem. They said I needed a compressor kick start and it would cost $347 and they would guarantee the part for one year. After a couple of days, I noticed that the frig was making the same noise and asked them to come out. They ket blowing me off but eventually came and said a screw was loose. (Not sure I believed them.) After another couple of weeks again, the noise was getting louder and louder. I called them again numerous times and they would not answer. I called from a different line, they answered and asked that I text them my address and they will be out Wednesday. I did but they never showed, have ignored my texts and won't return my calls. Its been now over 2 weeks trying to get them out to fix/resolve the issue but they keep blowing me off. They are shady and unreliable/undependable/untrustworthy. Please do not use these guys- there are so many other complaints about them- I should have checked before calling them. Learn your lesson from my mistake! Also, During installation they played with my settings and didn't return it back to normal so it froze most of my vegetables and it had to be thrown out.Desired Settlement: I would like them to fully refund my $347. I do not believe I needed a compressor kickstart, it was installed incorrectly or there is something else wrong with it. I would like the refund so I can call a reliable/dependable company.

Review: This business came to service my refrigerator. They did not provide me a receipt of the parts that were replaced and failed to name the service parts or send me an invoice through e-mail after I had contacted them and requested that they do so 4+ times. After they left, the refrigerator was not fixed and continued to not cool properly. I was charged $420.00 and they were at my residence for 80 minutes. Later, I checked their status with the Revdex.com and saw that they received an "F".Desired Settlement: I would like to warn others of this fraudulent business and would appreciate being reimbursed monetarily.

Review: Called San Diego Appliance to repair clothes dryer that did not heat up. Diagnosed gas valve issue and charged me $450 for repair. 2nd visit with valve did not solve problem of not heating up . Then said my control dial was defective and cost was $150. Machine appeared to work while they were here. The next day while attempting to dry a load of laundry, the same issue with the dryer not heating up occurred As was the original problem, the heat came on for 10-15 seconds and then shut off and did not general sufficient heat to dry the clothes. To their benefit, they did not charge me labor for the second and third visit and managed to change the gas line which they said was old.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded cost of parts less the original service charge of $50, which would be $550. They are welcome to remove the parts they purchased and replace it with the original parts.
