San Diego Imperial Swimming Inc Reviews (2)

To clear up this complaint, when you mailed in both of your sons 2014 registrations in December of 2013  we needed verification of their date of birth. We require an original birth certificate or a passport. You sent in a copy (which we can't accept) for one boys and an original for the other....

You wrote one check for $120.00 for both boys so we processed the one so he could be covered by the insurance in the water.  It was $60.00 for a 2014 membership. Not $50 as you stated you paid? As a process in our office if we don't receive the items to complete the registration we contact you via email and phone calls advising on what we need. Yes because you wrote one check we did deposit it but we tried for 30 days to get the info we needed. Then it was passed on to your swim coach A-lisa who also advised you what was needed to complete your 2014 registration.  It wasn't important to you until we were at your pool on Sept 23 of 2014 that you brought it up and wanted us to use the $60 you paid in 2013 for your 2015 swim registration. I advised you we could not do that and to call me the next day to see what I could do. I spoke with you on the phone after I read my notes of us trying to contact you for the 30 days and we never got a response. Then the next day we received your sons ORIGINAL birth certificate along with a 2015 registration form with no money to pay for his registration. Since I had the 2014 registration form you sent in  from Dec of 2013 with the notes stating we tried contacting you and then passing it on to your coach to take care of the issue I did process your 2014 registration in which you paid for. 2015 registrations are $62 not $60.  I tried to help you understand that I could not take money from 2013 to process a 2015 card, so I gave you what you paid for, which was a 2014 USA swim card.

Review: San Diego Imperial All Sports Association requires that all swim team members obtain a USA swimming card in order to compete in swim meets. December of last year I send in what I presumed to be both of my sons birth certificates as well a check in the amount for the two registrations. Unfortunately only one of the sons birth certificates was an original. His USA. Card was processed without a problem. My others sons was a copy and therefore not valid. Deanna Rupp cashed my check for both and alerted me that I needed an original certificate for my other son. As my son is quite young and not competing in any meets I was not in a terrible hurry to turn in his certificate. It was my assumption that because she had cashed my entire check, there would be a credit available to me when I went ahead and registered my son. Yesterday I attempted to do so and she told me that she would not credit my account for the fee a paid that did not result in a USA swimming card. There is nothing on her application alerting me to this policy which frankly is unethical at worst and bad business at best. I wish only to be credited for the fee that I paid for a product which I did not receive. This hardly seems unreasonable.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the amount paid be credited toward my sons USA swimming card application fee.
