San Diego Mesa College

Review: I am currently enrolled in Accounting 116B at Mesa with [redacted] as my teacher. He selected the wrong book for order at the book store so when everyone ordered the book for the class we were sent the wrong edition and then later told it was the wrong edition (his fault). So he told us to go to the bookstore and exchange it for the new one. When I went to the bookstore, I was told the book is not in stock and the teacher should have told us that. (The bookstore manager even said she already complained to the teacher for this error).

I find this situation to be completely unacceptable and a complete failure of Mesa College to provide a good educational experience to me.

I pay to go to class, pay for my books, pay for parking, etc, the least I should be able to expect are staff and teachers that know what they are doing.

So now I have no idea if we are proceeding with this "incorrect" book, or if he expects us to still get the new one.

Also it was one of those shrink wrap books (scam so they don't have to buy the book back), so when I went to the bookstore they got huffy with me and gave me a hard time about trying to return it. When its the school's fault, they have no right to give me a hard time.

Also, I was asked for a student ID at the bookstore. At no point in time was I ever issued a student ID card. Again, seems like another mismanagement on the part of Mesa college. They can never seem to get anything in order. Everything is a federal project.

They don't seem to understand that most of us work full time jobs to support ourselves and we don't have time to keep going back and forth between the college, work, and home, just to resolve issues that should not arise in the first place.Desired Settlement: I either need the new book, or need the teacher to proceed with the class with the current book. I need to know what is going on.

I also need them to send me this supposed student ID card so they stop giving me a hard time at the bookstore.

Also, the teacher should be "spoken" to by his superior for this error. It seems the teacher is more interested in his surfing (as he stated in class) then being an educator. If he doesn't want to be responsible enough to ensure his class is in order, then perhaps he should be career re-directed.

I am sorry to sound mean, but again, I am paying good money to attend a school where the expectation was a valuable and worthwhile educational experience.
