Review: 1) From my understanding, this is a 12 week program that was to cost me $6100. This is one visit a week for 12 weeks, to include consultations with doctor, metabolic food package, body mass index, one blood test, 2 Cyrex Tests, specialty diet, blood consultation, 2 kontour treatments, detox program.

2) I had initially asked for an itemized bill of a breakdown of all charges, in which I did not receive.

3) When I went to the office on January 13 to discontinue the program, I asked for an itemized invoice, in which they could not give me at that time.

4) On January 14, I did receive an itemized invoice which broke down the costs of vitamin supplements and lab tests, but also showed that they were charging me $500 per office visit, in which I had 4 visits to date. They cannot explain to me why they are charging me $500 per office visit in which I hardly spoke to the doctor.

5) Based on the $500/visit, and this is a 12 week program, the cost of office visits would equate to $6000 by the end of the program. This number does not add up since the program cost was $6100 to include the above services in item 1.

6) The total bill for 4 weeks totalled $3680.00, when I asked to be removed from the program and asked for a refund on January 13, 2014.

7) I want a total itemized breakdown of costs. I have a $6159.00 credit card charge. But based on the invoice that I received for $3680 for 4 weeks, the numbers are not adding up.

8) I was charged $500 per office visit, having 4 office visits to date = $2000.00, but these numbers do not add up considering 12 weeks of office visits would total $6000.00 and the cost of the program is $6100. The numbers just do not add up.

9) On the invoice I received, I was charged: $650 for labs, $630 for supplements, $400 for body composition (which is also questionable), and $2000 for 4 office visits, totalling $3680.Desired Settlement: I want a true cost of what an office visit would cost, and I want a billing adjustment.

I want to see an itemized breakdown of the whole program and I want a refund of $4020.00.

I agree to pay $1680 for the current cost of products with an additional $100/office visit (x4) for a total of $2080.00.

At San Diego Spine and Disc, we go above and beyond for our patients. When we found out she was unhappy we quickly brought the patient in to address the problem directly. Although the patient did not agree with our policies and the contract, which she signed, we took the higher road and changed this for the patient. Even though we ultimately took a loss in the situation we felt it more important for us to part ways on amicable terms with the patient and therefore acquiesced to her request. The issue has been resolved and the patient left happy and satisfied with how things worked.
