I am sorry I have not replied sooner to this complaint. I missed the 1st notice you sent me.San Diego Motorcycle Training offers beginner training for small groups of 3 riders only. Each session is $99. It states on our website that we need 24 hour notice to avoid a $ 49.50 rescheduling fee. [redacted], the student who filed the complaint, had signed up for Session B1 on January 31 and didn't show up. When I called him he said he had gotten sick on Thursday, it was an emergency. [redacted] had time between Thursday and Friday to let us know, but he didn't. When I talked to him during the following week I told him there is a $49.50 rescheduling fee. He said it was a medical emergency, and that he will also sign up for sessions B2 and B3. It doesn't make any difference to me if someone signs up for all 3 sessions or one session at a time. I told him I will waive the fee, but I didn't say I'd waive it because he will sign up for session B2 and B3. [redacted] was rescheduled for Session B1 on February 14, and again he didn't show. This time he said my confirmation email had the wrong date, but my email to him had the correct date. I feel that if [redacted] thought the date on the confirmation email was wrong he should have contacted me to make sure he has the correct date. So he was rescheduled again for February 21, and was able to finish the session. He was then scheduled for Session B2 on February 22, and showed up 30 minutes late, too late to still be able to join the class. He was rescheduled for March 1st, but unfortunately it was raining too much to conduct classes. I  called [redacted] as it states on our website, that students will be called no later than 30 minutes before start time if class needs to be cancelled due to too much rain. After the rained out session I was talking to [redacted] to reschedule him, and I told him he needs to pay the $49.50 rescheduling fee before I can reserve a seat for him. He said he will take care of it. I had sent him a PayPal invoice for the $49.50 rescheduling fee. Then I received an email from [redacted], saying that he refuses to pay the rescheduling fee, and asked me to reschedule him. If it is not possible unless he needs to pay the rescheduling fee [redacted] asked for me to refund his money. I refunded him $49.50 and $99. I deducted the $49.50 rescheduling fee. Then [redacted] filed a complaint with PayPal, but PayPal decided in my favor. [redacted] appealed PayPal's decision, but again PayPal decided in my favor.I then called [redacted] to see if he wants to talk about this. He said it takes him 2 hours to get to our training site from TJ. I am always trying to be nice to students and give them the benefit of a doubt. I do not like to charge rescheduling fees, because sometimes unexpected things happen and a student is not able to make it. But I also feel the student has some responsibility in arriving on time, and making sure the student has the date and time correct, especially if it takes student 2 hours to get there.[redacted] didn't show up for class twice, then he showed 30 minutes late.

Review: Seller agreed to void a rescheduling fee IF 2 more services were purchased at once. I purchased 2 more services as a business deal where it was beneficial for both parties.Service 1 was provided 100%(Motorcycle class Training). On service 2 there was a time missunderstading where student asks insructor for next session time start, verbaly. Student shows up 30 mins after class starts because verbally missunderstanding, so student is sent home w/ NO options of staying. Rare, any other schools you will lose those 30 mins of class and stay. Instructor only said: Times are in the webiste.Session 2 was rescheduled. The day in where session 2 was going to take effect, student gets a 30 mins prior call to cancel class for weather conditions. Weather was forecasted 7 days prior, everyone in town knew and storm conditions started 24hrs prior class. When student receives phone call of cancelation, student states immediately: I understand, lets reschedule for next sunday, I see you next sunday, lets do both sessions left together and finish. Instructor Responds: let me check scheduling/spots. Seller fails to schedule me the following class, she sends email instead of a phone call on a time sensitive matter.Seller now claims I owe her $49.55 resceduling fee.NOW, Why am I cancelling? Weekends are mandatory to work for me. Seller knew I had to do work days off requests since the begining. IF seller had notified me 2 or more days in advance of cancellation, I couldve make work arrangements. I've so far, have requested 4 weekends off for this instructor all unused. Again, why am I cancelling? If seller had listened on her cancellation phonecall when I said: Sign me up for nex class, lets do both sessions together, I see you next session, OR picked up the phone, I had not lost next sessions spot.NOW BECAUSE sellers lack of communication, I CANT NO LONGER REQUEST DAYS AT WORK AND IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO assit. I will not pay $49.50 fee on her lack of communication.Desired Settlement: I just need my 100% refund back, as it was not my fault to not be able to assist to the rest of the courses, so no fee is my responsibility to pay.
