Mr*** is a customer that knows nothing about rain gutters, roofing, fascia boards or the interaction between themUnfortunately he has a contractor that is also very uninformedThe rain gutter system we installed for Mr*** was installed per industry standards, using the correct brackets
and fastenersI acknowledge that there were some issues that needed to be addressedHowever, these were MINOR, AND EASILY FIXABLEUnfortunately, I was out of the country and pretty much out of communication when this situation occurredfrom the date of installation to the time Mr*** requested the removal of the gutters, only four work days passedHe presented a Punch List (a list of things that need to be corrected) on Monday, then refused to let anyone make corrections and demanded that same day that everything be torn downYou don't do this in constructionIf things can't be corrected, it is up to the Contractor and the Customer to come to an agreement as to what the materials cost will be, and labor costs will beYou don't walk away thinking that nothing is owedMr***, in demanding the removal of the gutters, assumed the responsibility of the holes that would be left after the removal and the needed modification to the roof flashing that were necessary to the installationHe is under the impression that this is "damage"If he would have waited for me to return, I could have educated him and his contractor and shown him where his over reaction was unnecessaryI am hoping Mr*** and I can come to some sort of resolution

I'm not going to respond to the personal attacks in SD Rain Gutter's response but I will re-state the facts again:
The gutter installation was faulty - i.eit didn't functionAll of the leaks and installation problems are clearly documented in the google drive link below which is viewable to everyone who has the linkSD Rain Gutter's own sub-contractor *** *** acknowledged all of our identified problems and identified more problems that we didn't notice (some of which he said are safety hazards)He determined that the installation was NOT repairable as SD Rain Gutters alleges - you can hear *** saying "if I did this installation I would fire myself" in the the video contained in the Google drive below.
*** *** (License# ***) came to my residence and removed the gutters without any additional invoicing or contract with meThis was done because the installation was faulty and not-repairableAgain, *** *** was contracted by SD Rain Gutters, NOT me to remove the gutters.
I've clearly outlined what I need to resolve this complaint - SD Rain Gutters needs to re-imburse me for damage caused by the faulty installationI have provided a detailed list of the work that has already been done, and paid for by me, to restore my home to the state it was before it was damaged by SD Rain GuttersThis included replacing damaged drip-edge, stucco, and bird stop that had JUST been installed prior to SD Rain Gutter's faulty installation.
SD Rain Gutters continues to argue that I, as a consumer, have no right to raise concerns and ask that my home is repaired after their crew damaged itTheir argument is that they "know better" even though their installation clearly didn't function - a fact acknowledged by their employees and sub-contractor and documented extensively in photos and videos
