Review: I paid $1160.00 to have eight pull out kitchen drawers inst**led. I have not had the Kitchen drawers inst**led nor my monies returned. There has been no contact with San Joaquin Maintenance & Repair, since 11-03-2014 8:30 a.m. when I got a telephone c**l from Hilo, (whom was introduce to me by [redacted], as his crew) said ** was going to stop by today and return my Money. "That was a No Show"Desired Settlement: Return my $1160.00 and Investigate San Joaquin Maintenance/Repair for Consumer Fraud

Review: I contacted owner, [redacted], to make approx. 7500$ of repairs on my home before putting it on the market. Al requested money upfront to purchase supplies. Because of my arrangement with my ex wife we paid him a cashiers check for the total amount. ** did 4500 worth of work. After paying him he did not complete the work and refuses to return phone calls. He also has retained a closet door which I now need to replace.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the work that has not been finished and have the closet door returned or paid for

Review: I asked the owner [redacted] doing business as San Joaquin Maintenance and Repair to give me an estimate on fixing our patio. He did a demo to see what was needed to be done to the patio. He said materials would be about $4395 and labor $1100. He asked for me to give him money upfront so he can buy the materials. And he would bring the materials by later that day. I wrote him a check for $4395. The check was deposited to his business account but no materials was delivered to my house. I called him, his workers said he was out of town and their van was in the shop, and that our supplies was going to be delivered after the weekend, on Monday. Monday comes they promised to bring the materials by 11:30 am. I waited but they did not show up with the materials. I called but they said they are on their way. After an hour, I called again and nothing. They did not pick up. They did not call me back. I left multiple, messages for them to either deliver the materials I paid for or refund me the money. They did not call me back. AL the owner deposited my check of $4395 to his account but fail to delivered supplies and my patio is unfinished. I call the business license department, they told me this man Al owner of San Joaquin Maintenance and repair is license as a handy man only not license as contractor. He is not allow to do jobs that are over $500. But he is going around telling clients he is able to do everything. He taking money over $500 for jobs but not delivered materials. And disappearing. This man is a con man.Desired Settlement: Im requesting a full refund of $4395 that I paid him for supplies to fix my patio. He is commiting Fraud and needs to refund my money. I gave him many chances to delivered the supplies. Had to turn down work to deal with his delay. Therefore he needs to refund my money in full.

Review: In May, San Joaquin Maintenance & Repair ([redacted])gave us an estimate on our front rain gutters on our house. He said front and side rain gutter replacement and installation would cost $1,140.00 (about 50 feet). We paid them and he repaced them in May (** never replaced the downspouts, just wrapped silver tape over old leaks). Then, my husband and I called him again and asked if he would give us an estimate on a small back patio metal corrogated roof replacement and back gutters. He told us first an estimate of $1,600.00, then after adding several things ** went up to $1,800.00, and it would take 2 days for completion of job. ** wanted $900.00 up front and the other $900.00 after the job was done. We gave him the first $900 and they proceded to start the job. ** talked us into extra work that cost us an extra $320.00 which he wanted immediately. The job took 5 days and they still weren't done because of all the leaks in the patio after the replacement. Also, the front and back gutters leaked horribly bad. There were more leaks when he was finished with the "job" then when he started. Both gutters, front, back, and side poured water down in front and back of the gutter, never touching the gutters (have pictures and a video of front and back) also the back porch replacement leaked horribly (have pictures and video). The two workers spent the last day spraying a leak sealant (many cans) on all the gutters, trying to cover-up the shoddy work they did. We did stop payment on the last $900.00 check after we tested the job completion. We want our money back that we spent which was $1,400.00 for front gutters, $900.00 for half of the $1,800.00 + $320.00 for extras. He owes us $2,360.00 in all. Al also told us that he was going to give us (free!) 5 gallons of light brown paint and 1 gallon of white that he had at his office to paint our patio. Also, he was going to run electricity including 2 light fixtures in our patio (free!) and several other promises which he never kept.Desired Settlement: $1,140.00 for front and side gutter replacement for house.$900.00 for half of payment for small back patio metal corrogated roof replacment, and new back gutter. $320.00 for extra: *($120 for using interior paint (I have picture of paint can) painting exterior wood protection for weather.* $45.00 for 4 lag bolts that were suppose to be attached to house (huge gap between house and patio). * $150 for installing a 4x4 metal to corrogated roof to prevent leaking. (it leaks, have pictures))

Review: Mr. [redacted] said he would fix my water leak by moving water pipes over and putting in new waterpipe to make a new connection. He did not move waterline or sprinklers like he said he would. He instead added some curves and small tubing to my line and said it was fixed. When I used it for the first time the water was leaking again. I have attempted to have Mr. [redacted] fix or see the water leak again and he had promised to come 3 times but has been a no show. Mr. [redacted] took the amount of $140.00 from me up front and later returned asking for an additional $75.00 and said he had done the repair but I still have a broken water line and water leak where Mr. [redacted] was supposed to have repaired the leak.Desired Settlement: I would like the leak repaired as promised if not willing to do work as promised, a returned refund of money.

Business

Response:

Business states that they are willing to return to the residence to repair the issues or customer can have his refund. Business requests that the consumer contact him directly to set up an appointment for Monday so the leak issues may be addressed.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I would like a return of my money since, I had to have another person fix my problem with broken pipe. Now, the problem with business is that they did not respond like promised to my calls. I informed company that I still had a problem with pipe after I tried to water lawn. Problem was not fix and I had to find another person to fix problem. [redacted]

Review: Business was contacted to do some handy man work at residence. Stucco repairs and a handicap railing were to be installed. Payment was made so supplies could be obtained for the work. Workers left job site and we were advised they would return the next day. They failed to show up. The owner was contacted and he stated the items were in his van. When contacted again his phone number went to a mail box phone number which is unknown. A letter was sent to the owner but no response has been returned. This business is a fraud and possibly not licensed although his flyer states license # [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund for work not completed. Last check to San Joaquin Maintenance & Repair was for $2000.00 to complete work which was not done and workers never returned.
