San Jose Mitsubishi

After speaking back and forth with a salesman over the phone for a week, I decided to drive an hour to come see a car in person with the promise of a quick and easy purchase process. After seeing the car, I liked what I saw and committed to buy the car. After going through the paperwork process, I said I would like to buy the car with a cashiers check, and asked them to hold the car until the morning (it was an hour before close and the banks were closed at this point). They refused. They said the only way they could hold the car was if I took out an 11% loan on the vehicle. I tried every which way to close payment on the vehicle, including wiring, a payment hold on my card, etc., all of which they refused. 4 hours later, they said come back tomorrow when we open and hope the car isn't sold by then. This struck me as odd, as every salesman I have talked to before was always actually eager to sell cars, not trying to string people along. I woke up early the next morning to make the drive down again, going first to the bank and taking a half day off work to do so. I arrived at the dealership 20 minutes before they opened, and received a text 15 minutes later that the owner of the car decided they did not want to sell anymore, a decision that was made the previous night (but for some reason they did not have the courtesy to tell me that before making the long commute). They consistently LIED, made the process EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, and wasted my time. I have since called them 10 times trying to understand what happened and why (they picked up the phone twice out of those ten times), and never gave me a satisfactory reason why. They were EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, and likely canceled consignment as they realized they priced the car too low and wanted to back out of a deal they had agreed to. After being listed online for 60+ days, they magically decided to cancel the deal the night I showed up.
