Review: After a change in insurance companies my daughter renewed her contact lens prescription at SLO Eye Associates and was given a different brand than she had been wearing for ten years. The doctor assured her they were comparable. She experienced itchy eyes but attributed it to her seasonal allergies. She suffer through the summer and reordered another set of contacts in the fall. With her allergies subsided her eyes were still itching so I told her to have the doctor examine them. It turned out she was allergic to the new brand of contacts and they were giving her hives under her eye lids. When I went in to have Dr. Horne, who had sold her the lenses, exchange the lenses for her old brand he refused stating she had already opened them and they were not returnable. I contacted the manufacturer and after several emails they told me I would be receiving a refund in two weeks from SLO Eye Associates. It has been over a month now so I figured they lied to the manufacturer as well. This is not the first time we've experienced this companies poor customer service but while I can tolerate rudeness when it comes to endangering my daughter's eye sight and refusing to except blame I feel this business practice needs to be exposed.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $58.00 that was paid for the second set of contact lenses.
