Sanchez Mechanical, Inc. Reviews (3)

We received this review from *** after she saw our commercials. *** Sanchez installed new heating/AC units in my condos.I paid him up front as he requested the money to order the heating/ac units. After he installed units, he disappearedmonths later, after he got out of jail, he
installed the rest of my units. He stated he would put in new thermostats, never happened. He also stated he would "wrap" the bottom bases where the heating/ac unit sat with aluminum.Never happened. When I had problems with one of the heating/ac unit"s, a little after a year of being installed, *** informed me that in order for "his guarantee to be good", I was to have all my units "checked on a yearly basis, to the tune of each.To date, I have spent over on repairs and I am currently on my second compressor replacement. This letter will also be posted with the Revdex.com. This was our response to ***We have spoken with an attorney about whether we should proceed with legal action since this was a slanderous review and we have done work to correct the issues she states occurred. Hello ***, this is the first time I’ve heard from you in and a half yearsI’m surprised at this con***ering you’ve had a lot of time to complain about any work that I did and any work you feel was not completeI provided a year parts and labor warranty on all products I installed which you are aware ofThat warranty is contingent on SMI continuing to service your equipmentIf you recall, you opted to go with another company that was cheaper to get your servicing doneThat voids your warranty and any problems you have after someone else has serviced your equipment are not taken care of by SMI unless you call us which you did not doIn good faith, I went by the location on July 12th and learned that one of the units weren’t workingI chose to service the unit without chargeParts had been switched out and the equipment was being serviced by someone who is not licensed nor have they been in the industry longThe equipment had not been serviced properlyI swapped out a $part and you did not need another $compressorI’m sure the other units had the same problem and I wish you had contacted me soonerAs for your attack on me personally, I’ve spoken with an attorney since you are making accusations about me and damaging my businessIf you would remove your slander, we won’t need to take legal matters against you. We have tried to resolve this professionallyPlease advise

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I had contacted [redacted] Sanchez back in June, telling him yet again the issues I was having with the AC units. To date I have paid out thousands of dollars fixing the AC units [redacted] Sanchez installed. The problems started back in 2013 after the units were installed.[redacted] Sanchez did not live up to his warranty, and in fact refused to fix anything unless he was paid more money.  The recent problem with one of the AC condenser was the final straw.  While [redacted] did show up unannounced to fix the problem, he made sure to tell my assistant "this is a freebie, next time I will have to pay."
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Yes, [redacted] did work for her in an amount close to $30,000 back in August of 2013. We will need to pull records to be sure on the amount and specific work requested. At the time the work was finished, [redacted] had no complaints. She thought SMI’s service agreement was too expensive and wanted to take care of it herself. That decision meant there was no  warranty on parts and labor with SMI, but the manufacturer’s warranty was still in place for 5 years. We are not responsible for equipment when we are not regularly servicing it and someone else is. This is clearly stated with all installations. She chose to pass.   Now here we are 3 years later and she’s complaining that the work we put in was poorly and equipment faulty. We are unsure who has been swapping out parts in her equipment. She also said we didn’t do everything that was requested and paid for. We will pull records to verify what was in writing and not verbal since that is all we can go on. Anything that was verbal is unreliable 3 years later since both [redacted] and [redacted] have conflicting statements. However, no one pays $30,000 for a job and doesn’t get all of their work complete. When [redacted] visited the property this week to discuss this issue, her assistant explained more of the problem. [redacted] offered to look at one of the units and learned it hadn’t been serviced properly since it was full of cottonwood. He was able to quickly take care of the issue since he was already there, without charge.   We have no desire to do business with this woman and will not service any more of her equipment regardless of payment. We completed our agreement 3 years ago and did not agree to any additional work.   We are unsure where she is going with this or what she wants. If you purchase something, then don’t maintain it, it is not the manufacturer’s fault nor the fault of the person who installed it.
