Sand Pine Pheasants Reviews (1)

On Sunday February 19, at 1:p.m., *** *** had a reservation for a pheasant hunt for 10 people and pheasants, which he had scheduled approximately weeks prior to this date. The total cost for that hunt was $840.00 I told him that we needed a
credit card number, which he provided, with expiration date, and the verification code on the back of the cardI told him that this information was to hold the field and if they did not show up, we would run the card. He then said “don’t worry, we will be there”. The morning of the scheduled hunt, he called at 11:a.mand said that he and his group were still up north at the Gull Lake fishing tournament, that took place on Saturday (the day before), and wouldn’t be able to make the hunt. I asked him if he would reschedule the hunt, which he didHe did reschedule for Sunday February 19, at 1:p.m. Neither *** or any of the other nine members of the group showed up or called to cancel the hunt that day. We tried to contact Mr*** via phone call and text message, several times between 1:and 3:p.m, when no one showed up for the hunt. We left Mr*** a message that we running his credit card for $420, which was half the price of the hunt. Which I believe was MORE THAN FAIRWe release the birds in the customers fields approximately hour before the hunt, so the birds can get acclimated to the wild, which makes the birds fly better. birds were released into Mr***’s field, and we cannot lose that kind of money. This is our policy and we make this known, verbally to customers over the phone, on any hunt over birdsMr*** contacted me on February 20, and told me that his mother-in-law had a heart attack. He then told me that he was in the Twin Cities at the hospital (the day of the scheduled hunt), and forgot to call and cancel the hunt. I told Mr*** that I was very sorry to hear about his mothlaw’s medical condition. There were others in his group that also did not bother to call or show up for the hunt. The same day, his wife, ***, called me and proceeded to chew me out! She said that she wanted that money credited back to her husband’s card. She then threatened to call her bank, her lawyer, and the Revdex.com. I told her that I was going to check with a couple other hunting preserves, and see what their policies are, and what they would do in this same situation. Both hunting preserves said they would have ran the credit card for the whole amount. I called her back and told her what the others would have done. She was very angry with me and would not let me explain the situation. I never called her a name or was rude. I may have raised my voice, to try to get through to her, because she would not stop talking and let me explain. I then made her an offer that if *** and his group would come and shoot birds within the next or weeks, that I would apply the $to that hunt. She then told me that he was too busy to come out, and she would not allow him to come hunt at our establishment. I then said the same offer would apply until the end of our season (*** 30, 2017). Again, she would not accept this offer. I was very accommodating. I have never been reported to a bank, lawyers, credit card company, or the Revdex.com, in the years that I have been in business. My dealings were with Mr***, not ***, and he knew that we would run his card if they did not show up. I am very distraught over this because I run a straight forward and honest business. All of our customers are very important to us. I would not have charged his card if even ONE of the members of his hunting party would have made the effort to make a phone call before the birds were released into their fieldI am sorry that I was not able to get back to you sooner. We were on vacation out of the country, and I just now, received these letters. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused you or the ***s. I do believe that we are being way more than fair in this situation. Thank you for your time on this matter Very sincerely, *** Sand Sand Pine Pheasants Action TrackChair Dealer *** *** ** Avon, MN ###-###-#### business ###-###-#### cell Fax ###-###-#### *** www.sandpinepheasants.com
