We rented a pontoon boat from this company, in January 2015 I was sent a EchoSign document e-mail to place a hold on the boat for June 10, 2015 of $325.00. We arrived and were going to pay 1/2 each, and were asked for our ID and credit cards and who would drive the boat. Friends husband would be the driver, so they needed his ID. When she returned from getting his ID the employee had put an $800 hold on her card and said for damages and that it would drop off when we returned the boat that day. First we were never told of this cost and the big problems after many, many calls to have the fund released and a very negative attitude of the female owner, this hold was not released until today 7 days later, June 16, 2015.

When we were looking over the boat the owner was very nasty about what we could take on the boat and what we were to do. We rented it for 8 hours 9-5 it was already almost 10, losing an hour. She kept talking about dents so my husband told me to take pictures, which I did, only to find that the boat trailer had a flat tire, so it would not have been ready for us to take out at 9am anyway. When we returned about 1/2 hour early, we called and they came to pick us up, we went to fill the tank of the boat with gas. Asking the male owner how we can pay for this, he was very snippy/nasty etc. Not really sure what the rental of the boat was for, sure was not the gas or anything else. We arrived at the lot and immediately the female owner came out with an employee who had a dent popper in his hand, she almost knocked me over getting to the boat and saying there is a dent here. I told her the dent was there and I have pictures to prove it. She stormed off and asked the employee if they had the pictures from before. She never came back out. A Female employee came out and checked the boat out and I asked her for a copy of the release and that the boat was in good shape. She returned with a copy of the check in sheet with all good on them, but just said that the $800 would fall off as it was only a hold.

It did not as stated above for 7 days. I checked with other companies that rent in Lake Havasu and they say they give you back the copy immediately when the boat is returned. My husband and I have had our own business and customer service is a must or you will have not business. I think these people have used this dented boat to keep funds from other people, so I have checked website for complaints about them and there were 45 on one site with over 16 bad and some for these same problems and others, over charging when it was not the customers fault. Treating the customer with no respect. Who do they think are keeping their doors open. If they are tired of working with the public they should get out of business. I have friends that live in Lake Havasu and they will never rent from them and I will be sending a letter to the editor. We go there many times a year and will never rent from them again and will let everyone we know how they treat people. Ethics and Business practice are below par. They should not be allow to treat people they way they do.
