Hi ***, I am responding to the complaint against The Ancient mariner I received their response today It says that on their cover page it states that the order would take over a month to shipIf you go on their site, it says" shipping may take to business daysA small number of our products are sent direct from the manufacturer and may take up to month." Also I looked on the site today and it still says there is in stock Everytime I called it was after p.mest and that was calls that I left voice messagesThey said they tried to call me but that never happenedThe only call I received was the night after I made the complaint to Revdex.com He said they were unable to get the item at this time but if I tried again around Febmaybe they could get itThey should have just called me or e-mailed me and let me know if and when I would receive the itemAll I wanted was that item so I could give as a gift In the end I was just disappointed I hope they improve their web site and their phone system and their response timeI wish them the best in the future [redacted] *** [redacted] ** [redacted] *** Complaint # [redacted]

I have posted the upper part of the ad for the item below. It clearly says the item ships within to weeks.The customer still ordered it and expected it to be shipped right away. She did not answer the phone when we called. We did talk to her on the phone the day she contacted the Revdex.com.However our return call had nothing to do with the Revdex.com Complaint as it takes the Revdex.com around days to send us thecomplaint. Her credit card was never charged. We have a policy of not runing credit cards for custom orders for customers whom do not want to wait.Lady Anne Ship's Figurehead. Talked to customer the day she filed this complaint. Her order was canceled and her credit card was never charged.What she wrote is not correct. The item in question says on the product page that it can take over a month for delivery.She made her first phone call
to us one week after she ordered asking where it iis. Calling at 7AM in the morning Pacific time, and continuing to call at this time. Our phone hours are posted on our website. She never answered her phone in the several timeswe called back. We put the order on hold She sent just one e-mail less than weeks after ther order was placed. I have copied itbelow. Again we tried to reach her by phone. *** Oct [email protected] I would like to know when I should expect my delivery. weeks ago I ordered a Lady Anne Head . The order #***. I called times to no avail. Please look into this order and let me know if there is a problem . I was counting on this item for a housewarming gift. Customer ordered a plastic kit that is no longer being made by the manufacturer.  The order was canceled right after it was placed andtheir credit card was never charged.  An e-mail about the canceled order was sent over three months ago.  We do not send out backordersmore than 30...

days without the customers approval.  This customer did leave a message at 7 am  a few weeks ago telling us to ship or cancel.  There was noneed to return the call.   After the delay,  If the customer could have purchased the same kit elsewhere he would have done so so they must have known it was not available even if they did not receive the e-mail.  Very few people would wait four months for a $29 plastic kit.

This is in response to my complaint #[redacted]. I have received the response from The AncientMariner which said It sent you a copy of their Invoice to me . It is not what they sent me or what was ontheir web page. It Is now, because I checked It today. I am enclosing a copy of my receipt so you cansee how they are trying to cover their tracks. Perhaps they took my advice and updated their site.In any case I do not want to pursue this any farther. The shame is, If they had been upfront with mefrom the get-go and said it would be Feb. before I might get the item, I would have said o.k. and giventhis gift for my friends anniversary in March and gone ahead and picked another gift for theirhousewarming.Thank you for looking into this for me and I'm glad they took my advice and updated their websiteand hopefully the phones tool I am disappointed in their honesty. It made me look as if I was the liarwhen all I wanted was that special gift.Thank you again,[redacted]

A small number of our products are sent direct from the manufacturer and may take up to 1 month." Also I looked on the site today and it still says there is 1 in stock.  Everytime I called it was after 3 p.m. est.  and that was 5 calls that I left voice messages. They said they tried to call me but that never happened. The only call I received was the night  after I made the complaint to Revdex.com.  He said they were unable to get the item at this time but if I tried again around Feb. maybe they could get it. They should have just called me or e-mailed me and let me know if and when I would receive the item. All I wanted was that item so I could give as a gift.  In the end I was just disappointed .  I hope they improve their web site and their phone system and their response time. Customer
was refunded in full the same day he called us on 11/30/15 (see receipt).  This is what we told him we would do on the phone that day.This
is one day before he made this complaint to the Revdex.com.   The item was a non
replaceable
collectible
and would have required a signature...

on delivery.  If we had sent by UPS he
would
have needed to drive 1 hour to pick up the package.  (Lancaster, CA) Thus we
changed the shipping
to
the Post Office so that he could pick up locally if required.  Delivery would
have been the
day
after he canceled.  He did not state on the order that he needed the item by a
certain date and
there
is a place to put this deadline date.  Apparently he reached someone by phone
each time he called, and his memory of the facts are in error."phoned the company on Oct 31 and got an "answering machine." When I tried to
leave a message to cancel my order, it was apparent that I had reached areal
person and not just a machine."
