office received a letter from the Revdex.com regarding a complaint filed by *** *** ***; upon, reviewing the detailed complaint information I thoroughly, followed up on each issue that was of patient concern, and listed below is my response to assist with resolving this issueWhen a patient is seen in our office for either an evaluation, repair of a device, or delivery of a device, there is certain criteria that must be followed to ensure that each patient receives the proper care required for their needsIt is important to schedule an appointment, as our custom and prosthetic devices in some instances require appointments that can exceed minutes due to amount of time it can take to either repair, deliver or fabricate a device; therefore, if you need an appointment please contact our office and our office staff will gladly set you up an appointment for the next available openingWe are unable to take walk-ins due to our full schedule; therefore, please call ASAP to ensure that we can schedule you an appointment for our next available opening, Please note that once you have a scheduled appointment it is important that you call at least hours in advance to notify us of any cancellations, this is important.There is also a document called a Delivery Acknowledgement Ticket that is required to be reviewed signed and dated upon delivery of any deviceThis Ticket includes a detailed accounting of all items being delivered which to include quantities, HCPCS code and item descriptionsThis is the case with every patient that receives a device of any sort from our officeThis Ticket also includes all codes that will be billed to the Primary Insurance as stated in the Delivery Acknowledgment Statement included on the Delivery TicketDepending on they type of insurance a patient has, will determine if a patient invoice will be mailed to patient upon billingFor example, some insurances pay 100% of allowed amount with no patient responsibility; therefore, there is no statement or invoice to submit to anyone, as services were paid for in fullSome insurances do submit an Explanation of Benefits to their members and if this is what is being requested, that information can be obtained by contacting your primary insurance and requesting a copyPlease keep in mind that our Delivery Tickets do include what is going to be billed to your insurance and this information was received, signed and dated upon delivery.
