This cinema is one of the wires and pretty much the only local one around. It is always dirty, out dated and the AC in theater 8 is always not working. It is very up setting that the owners do not take pride in owning A business that so many would like to enjoy but however can not.

We have one theater in my town. Sandhills Cinema 10. It has been our only theater since the early 2000's. The theater has a monopoly that allows them to price gouge and offer no explanation. The theater is disgusting, there are torn screens, stained chairs, and sticky floors. My most recent interaction that finally tipped me over the edge is on new years eve my parents and I met to go see a movie at around 1:00pm. The movie was "the big short" showing at 1:10 pm. When we got there, there was a long line that was poorly managed due to lack of employees serving tickets. After 15 minutes of waiting in line the attendant at the counter told us the movie was cancelled due to AC issues. Whether that is true or not is beyond me. Another gentleman said that earlier that week he had the same issue with a different view and it was rumored they were monitoring ticket sales for Star Wars Episode VII to see if they could open additional theaters to make more money on 3D tickets. In addition, I decided to be a proactive son and call the theater beforehand to verify the showing time of "the big short". I called and dialed 4 for customer service. I waited about 7 minutes of ringing to what appeared to be someone answering the phone then hanging up. I I'm. I called three more times to the same response. I called one last time and pressed 3 for group sales and to my surprise (sarcasm) someone answered immediately. I told the gentleman that I had called three previous times and no one answered. He then started responding to not being able to hear me and hung up. I called back and now the phones are off. This is completely unethical and an outrage to our community. It has gone on long enough and needs to be attended to.Desired SettlementFirst and foremost, I would like customer service to be brought back online. I would like a means for communication so that I may not have to drive 30 minutes for a movie to find its cancelled. I would like a justification for pricing and justification for a lack of any kind of membership discounts (i.e. Military, Chamber, Student). Lastly I would like some form of reimbursement to myself and my family for the time wasted going to a cancelled movie. I will attempt to address some of the issues you brought up and explain a few things as well.First, Our prices are quite comparable to the area. The [redacted] in Fayetteville charges $10.97 for an evening ticket, while we charge $11.25. We also have $6 tickets all day long on Tuesdays should the normal $11.25 not be something you'd wish to pay.With BIG SHORT, to fully explain the situation, we had a projector bulb explode and damage the reflector in the projector, which caused the cancellation. This was an unpredictable occurrence and I apologize for any inconvenience this caused you, and if what you said was correct, the employee that misinformed you to the actual reason.The other major issue you brought up was the phones. That weekend we started to have an issue with out main phone, and it seems somehow you were unable to connect to us. This problem was identified a day or two beforehand and is resolved, but I apologize that you had the troubles contacting us. I assure you, we do not ignore patrons or play games with people on the phones.I would like to offer to send you some passes for your inconvenience.
