5-23-17Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.There are definitely several inconsistencies within the complaint from *** to us and to the Revdex.com*** *** has a set, consistent policy regarding lease terminations and buyouts, which haven’t changed over the past yearsThese policies are laid out in the lease agreement. The offer of a buyout is always an option for someone who would like to transferWe do not have a “miles transfer” restrictionSo if the resident buys a house or transfers for a job regardless of how close or far away we require a written days’ notice as per the lease, the buyout is offered to our residents as a courtesy to break their lease for whatever reason should arise.*** did provide enough notice*** was offered a buyout*** declined the buyout since it was so close to his end dateHe decided since it was so close to his end date, he would continue to pay rent through the lease end date and turn in keysThese were his options***s keys were turned in with no issues and no money is due to him or to usAs far as the water bill there is a minimum charge on the billing and we are a month behind in billing which *** was aware of at the time of move inI have spoken with Mr*** at *** ***, ###-###-####, regarding ***’s water bill*** *** has a contract with MV for this siteWe are a read and bill only, meaning *** only reads the meters and does the billingWhen the resident moves out they dismiss charges and close accountsAs you can see from the SDRS on *** ***, he was actually refunded $for his deposit at the time of move outMr*** is not entitled to a refund of any kind due to the lease agreementWe do appreciate his residency here and are sorry he feels he was misinformedThank you for your time in this matter, if you need further information feel free to contact me directly.
