I am rejecting this response because:  I had a car repair done at [redacted] that morning Sat, May 2).  I had heard on the news that there were problems with the Nissan Altima rotting on the floor board.  I asked them to look at the under carriage to see if mine was affected.  It was concluded that I did have damage and the employee at [redacted] recommended I go to Sandman.  I immediately drove over on that Saturday morning right after I left [redacted] and spoke with the owner.  He told me to bring the car in on Monday which I did.  I have never gone anywhere else for an estimate as I did not know that my car was affected until that Saturday morning.  I do not recall anyone telling me about the $70 diagnostic fee and I was never offered copies of what I had signed to agree to the inspection nor a written quote for repairs.    I am quite confident that there diagnostic fee was probably written - I know I had to sign in three places.  No verbal conversation about the $70 until I told the owner I did not want to have the vehicle repaired at that time.  That is when he told me he would be liable if I drove the car and that it should not be on the road and told me I needed to sign a waiver for him to release the car.   When I picked up the car he told me he didn't have time to do the waiver and to just write the check and I would be on my way.  When I got the quote of $4500 over the phone,  I stopped at [redacted].  They suggested I take it home and get another estimate.  The quote to do the rust repair only was $2000 for the metal and $1000 for the undercoat.  I paid the owner the $70 diagnostic fee by check and he asked that it be made out to him personally.  I have a copy of that check made out to [redacted].

Please notify Miss [redacted] we will refund her the $70.00 INSPECTION FEE.  We want to go on record as stating we always notify a customer of such a fee, and we have to get paid for our time.
We hope she finds a save and lasting solution for her vehicle!!!!   We are here to help the public and make EVERY vehicle that comes thru our door safe!!!
We will mail a $70.00 REFUND CHECK to her, it will go in the mail today 5/11/15

I am rejecting this response because:  the company is denying any wrong doing.  The recount of the events from Sandman have been inconsistent and has taken no ownership for wrong doing.  I was given information of what needed repair that I was told to write down over the phone (which I have but know he will say I wrote it after the fact).  They then deny they ever said anything about my brakes being at 40% and my struts leaking.  They deny the fact that they told me the car should not be on the road and that they were liable for it if I were to have an accident.  I was only told about the $70 inspection fee when I told them I would not be able to have the work done at that point.  I told the owner I would be bringing the car back the next week because I needed to borrow the funds from a relative who was out of town.  In one of the responses he clearly says he threw away the inspection results claiming he knew I would not be back.  He later claims he does not accept checks; however, he never told me that and took mine willing advising to make it out to him not the company.  If I was ever offered any copies of either the receipt or the estimate work I would have definitely taken them, especially because I would have used it to get a second opinion  We all know why he discarded it.  He states I ran out after I paid him.  He took the check; told me that he would take good care of me when I came back and the car would be fixed perfectly and I left.  He was with another customer when I arrived to pick up the car, excused himself from that gentlemen came to me and said just take the keys and pay the fee; he did not present me with the waiver he said I needed to sign to release him of any liability if something should happen before I had the car repaired.  He asked me if this was my car or the gentleman's car who dropped me off.  I left.  I will admit I felt very intimidated and was anxious to get my car out of there for fear he might have changed his mind about my driving it on the road.  
I'm sure Sandman does excellent work and I am not criticizing this at all.  The price of $4500 was high and I was a little concerned about the other things he said were wrong with the car; i.e., muffler, brakes, struts.  I thought a second opinion was in order and if in fact his findings were valid I would have brought the car back.  The offer of paying cash instead of a credit card to save me a substantial amount of money was enticing and thus I was going to borrow the cash to save the money  I appreciated the fact that he was willing to save me some money; he also said he would work with them on the cost of the brakes because he had to wrap them anyway to do the welding work.  Another reason I would have come back if the second opinion validated his findings.  
After reading his responses I realize I did the right thing - if one reads back his accounts of the incident you will see he continues to expand upon his scam.  I didn't have several estimates; he told me about the inspection fee when I told him I was picking up the vehicle; he basically scared me with the fact that it could not be on the road; telling me I would have to sign a waiver which he denies and never produced; in one note he says I paid him cash and then realizes I have proofI; he defames DeCormier Nissan on their work; ie., patch not fix.  
I want this to be on the books with the Revdex.com should others like myself (and elderly woman) attempt to use this company's service.

We were contacted by [redacted] on 1/03/15 in re guards to information on repairing his 2000 [redacted]
He had seen our FACEBOOK site advertising Frame Repair, and called us to inquire prices about such repairs....

We
advised him we offer (4) different Frame repair kits, (1/4, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4) Vehicle was brought to us for Inspection and Repair
 Upon [redacted] Vehicle Inspection, We noticed a Presence of previous Aggressive Vehicle Abuse
in Multiple areas through out the Entire vehicle, and had asked [redacted] if he had used vehicle in any "OFF ROAD" applications.
[redacted] stated confidently that he has  Removed the Doors and Tilted the Windshield of the vehicle when "OFF ROADING"multiple times in the past.
Even with Previous "OFF ROAD ABUSE" [redacted] only required the 5/8 frame kit because the rest of the rear frame integrity was sound and fit.
 Also upon further inspection,
we noticed he had two small (rotted) areas at the drivers side and passenger side cab channel rungs that are spot welded
to the bottom of the cab tub.  We also advised [redacted] that these areas would need Repair also. We advised [redacted]
the price would be $4200 for the 5/8 Frame Repair, and a additional $1000 for the cab channel rung repair. We completed 
a Mechanical Inspection also on the Vehicle because [redacted] said he had numerous Mechanical issues with the Vehicle
due to aggressive "OFF ROAD" Use.  With additional approval from [redacted], we repaired all noted Mechanical defects to enable him to drive his vehicle
home Safely.  Upon Request, We have all Signed and Approved Shop Customer Receipts, along with a "COMPLETELY SATISFIED" Customer Sign off sheet
that the Customer signs after Reviewing the Vehicle in the air, on the Lift, and also completes a Mandatory Road test to insure his SATISFACTION of which
[redacted] was more than Satisfied!!!   [redacted] also has, for his own records, his copy of the "SATISFIED CUSTOMER" Sign off sheet that everyone of our
Customers sign, after Inspecting the vehicle with us, in the shop, on our lift, so they can see what we have Repaired.
If [redacted] is not Completely Satisfied with our 5/8 FRAME REPAIR, We will be kind of enough to Remove it at "NO CHARGE" and Install the Larger 3/4
Frame Section at "NO CHARGE" to him.  Please advise [redacted] to call us to Schedule a Drop Off time if he indeed would like it changed.
