I am very sorry about your experience with Sandpoint Property Management.   I have reviewed your file,  talked with the owner of the property and our staff members and I am very sorry to learn that your experience with our staff.  The situation should...

absolutely have been handled differently.   I understand your frustration having made a 3 hour drive and then not being able to view the property.  There is no excuse.  We conduct regular staff training and actually meet every morning from 8:30 to 9:00 to discuss any issues with each managers portfolio.  We take full responsibility for the situation and have taken steps to ensure it does not happen again.
Please let me know an address where we can send reimbursement.

Thank you for contacting us regarding Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, as we have not personally received a complaint from him regarding his application process. We process all completed applications in the order in which they were received and we do our best to expedite the process. We understand the...

urgency involved with finding a rental to call home. Our application process does take 5 to 10 business days to complete. Often times our processing is delayed due to external reference requests in which we have no control over. Applicants are also often confused why their application is not ready for processing until we have a completed application, all of the required documents and a paid application fee. If an applicant turns in their application and required documents on the 1st but does not pay the fee until the 8th we do not begin processing until the 8th. In regards to Mr. [redacted] we have sent a letter to him explaining the application process and we included a refund of his application fee. We do hope this will resolve any feelings of dissatisfaction he may have. Review: applied to rent a property on 12/07/15 was told 5 business days for the response was denied on 12/22/15 the credit report was not even requested until 12/16/15, well beyond the 5 business days normally this would not be a problem except am on Idaho housing and only have 60 days to find a place Lack of due diligence on spmi seriously cut into this time allowedDesired Settlement: application fee refund

Thank you for contacting us regarding Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, as we have not personally received a complaint from him regarding his application process.

Review: Filled out a rental and credit application morning of 1/12/15 and paid a processing fee of $60.00 with a check. We were promised someone would contact us ASAP to schedule the showing of available properties on their hot sheet. We had stated we were in a hurry as we had just sold our home and needed to move very soon. No one called by 1/15/15 and we found an acceptable rental in the Coeur d'Alene area through another property management firm who we contacted late on 1/13/15 and who was much more responsive and showed us property immediately and proccessed our application and got a rental approval in just over 24 hours. I re-contacted Sandpoint Property Management around 9 am 1/15 and asked about our application and was assurred someone would get right back to us when I told them we would not need their services and they should not process our application. No one called. I called again around noon 1/15 and talked to a "[redacted]" who was supposedly to process the application. [redacted] stated he was very busy but had planned to call us on 1/15. I again stated we did not need their services and would he return or tear up our check. He stated application fees were non-refundable. At which point I ended the conversation.Desired Settlement: They should refund the application fee as they provided no service and were not responsive to our need.
