I am rejecting this response because: If Sandstone was aware that I had not received the invoice (as stated in their response to me "It was returned to us stamped "unable to forward"We do not attempt to contact the former resident after we submit the final statementNo attempt was made to contact us or make payment before the day period.") then they should have made an additional attempt to contactI had no way of knowing that the invoice had been sent, and had been told to wait until I received a statementSince I received no statement, I continued to waitSandstone apartments had my contact info, including address, phone number, and email addressIf the address did not work (for unknown reasons, as I have received other forwarding mail from my previous address since moving), they had at least two alternate ways to contact meThey also had contact information for my parents, as evidenced by the collection agency calling their home phone in an attempt to collect the debt (which is another matter of which I am extremely unhappy about)I believe that Sandstone should have made a larger effort to contact meThis would not have been hard seeing as their initial and only effort consisted of dropping a letter in the mailI do not feel that I am asking for too muchIf that is against their policy, then their policy must be changedI would like to see evidence that they in fact sent the statement and had it returned with a stamped "unable to forward".I have paid the debt that was owed, but I have no guarantee that it will not affect my credit scoreI am extremely unhappy with how Sandstone has handled this entire ordealI attempted to pay twice (the day before move out, and the day I turned my keys in)It is not my fault that they did not inform me of the charges that I owedIt is not my responsibility to continuously follow up with them to see what money is owedI had done my part, and needed them to follow through on their part.

former resident; as well as send it over to the collection company we work withThe former resident has days to pay the balance to us before the collection company attempts to collect the debtWe did mail the final statement to the address that was provided to usIt was returned to us stamped "unable to forward"We do not attempt to contact the former resident after we submit the final statementNo attempt was made to contact us or make payment before the day periodMs*** did call our office on August 2, after the collection agency made contact in an attempt to collect paymentAt that time she stated that she tried to pay the balance when she turned in keys to our assistant manager and was told not to pay yet because the final charges were not entered yet, as we had not had time to do a walk-through of the unit to inspect for damages or cleaning chargesI was unaware of this conversationDuring the phone conversation; the forwarding address was confirmedIt was the same address we sent the final statement toWe have since had a new resident move into that unit and a revision was done on her final statement reducing her chargesThe revised statement was mailed to her at the same address and also updated with the collection agencyCurrent charges are $1,from the original $2,*** ***

Do not ever rent an apartment in Sandstone apartmentsWorst place ever! Garbage always all over the place, hour laundry is always closed ( a great place for the gays to hide out I guess), main office hours are whenever, you are lied to always, the phone numbers they give you either don't pick up ever or they don't take incoming callsIf you have a choice to live here or on the street, pick the street!

Absolutely horrible place, its dirty run down and managements idea of fixing things is just slapping on a coat of paintI just move in here and I'm afraid to use my kitchen and shower with flip flops in my own place
