With proper documentation, Sandstone HVAC & Electric, Incis willing to consider a settlementIf Sandstone's refrigerant is still in Mr***'s system, Sandstone deserves compensation for itIf no documentation is provided, no refund, partial or whole, will be provided

My only desire it to resolve a business dispute. I believe my previous offer clearly demonstrates that. I hired Sandstone assuming and expecting they were competent professionals. My primary complaint remains the same: Sandstone arrived at my home to fix an AC unit that would not cool, they charged me $and left me with a unit that would still not cool. I had to hire a competent AC contractor who detected a leak within minutes, made repairs and the AC unit works great. They made no repairs or adjustments to duct work or insulation. They did not try to say it was an issue caused by service in past years.Sandstone spins quite a story on all the reasons the unit would not cool, but these are all to cover there incompetence. They are not deserving of the professional rates they charge because they have no expertise or craftsmanship in the area of HVAC

Mr***'s condenser was not starting due to low pressure cutoffFollowing manufacturer guidelines, refrigerant was added until a proper sub-cool of degrees was achievedMr***, has evidently been purchasing refrigerant for several years in a row, based on the notes written on the inside
coverSince a positive pressure was present prior to adding any refrigerant, an injectable sealant was usedIf the unit were empty, this approach would not be takenThis sealant is quantified thusly; if a fully charged system's leak takes five days or greater, tons-5tons, this sealant should solve the problemIf the refrigerant leaks out in less than days, it will notThe temperature split was 15-degrees, depending on the registers measured with an infra-red thermometer, standing approximately ten feet away, without the assistance of a ladder.A few days later the unit was reinspected at Mrs***'s requestA sub-cool of degrees was still presentThe only two supply registers outside expected temperature ranges are in the kitchenUpon inspection, Mr*** has a couple design flawsFirst, the supply plenum is an un-insulated sheet metal boxSecond, there is excessive flex duct, which makes a degree loop before being split with a "Y" and feeds these two registersNo evidence of a refrigerant leak was foundTo further satisfy the customer, an injectable dye was inserted, free of charge; again, with no result. If Mr*** has documentation to support his claim, Sandstone HVAC & Electric, Incmust have an opportunity to review it before any action is taken. It is worth noting that regardless of the outcome, Sandstone HVAC & Electric, Incis unwilling to perform any new work for Mr*** due to the verbally and physically abusive nature of his behaviorMr*** grabbed James's right arm and pulled him to the floor from the second rung of a ladder during Mr***'s tantrumThis kind of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated
