Review: Hired Sandy locksmith to work on a key/ignition problem in my vehicle. Thier website states this is something they can do. Once the tech arrived he proceeded to tell me what the issue is and repair it, he then proceeded to pound on my car with a hammer and take a drill to it. then told me that that didnt work was actually not the problem, it was something else and he would need to order parts. he charged me $147 for labor to not fix anything on my car. He then called back later requesting a TON more money to finish the repair. Way more then any mechanic I contacted.I declined the repair and let thm know I would be looking into some things that just didnt seem right. I have since had 3 mechanics all looka nd tell me that the tech did more and unnecessary damage to my vehicle. all 3 also willing to provide statements to that fact. I took photos of grease stains left on my seats and metal shards left embedded in my seat and flooring I assume from the hammer and drill. It has since been repaired but at a higher cost due to the additional damage done to my vehicle by thier tech. I have sent multiple messages and even talked to someone on the phone demanding a refund and have gotten no where with them they insist they did nothing wrong*more in depth details about this experience can be provided upon request but not within the character space limit*Desired Settlement: $147 full refund and would love for them to pay for the detail work I now need to have done to my vehicle to remove the grease stains and metal shards

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Sandy Locksmith regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However since the complaint was filed ammount of damage and repairs needed/cost have gone up significantly. We found out they broke the clock spring in my vehicle, the part alone was $665 with tax and shipping, plus the labor to install. They also bent my drive shaft. The mechanic is writing a statement so that we can take this company to small claims. What should have been a simple $150 part and $70-100 labor to fix the initial issue has gone up to nearly $1500 to repair the damage done by Sandy Locksmiths technician.

Sincerely,
