[redacted] called me back and stated it was definitely my transmission but claimed there were other parts in transmission that needed to be replaced and motor mount. My price jumped to $2289.[redacted] stated my van would run like its new.I came in to make payment of $1800 on 03/10/2015 and wanted me to bring in my title to hold until it was paid off.[redacted] called me on 03/13/2015, Friday to pick up my van. I came in to pick up van 03/17/2015, Tuesday evening and paid the rest of payment which was $400.00 and my dad agreed to pay them $89.00 that was owed.Tuesday the van started jerking called [redacted] and she stated to bring van back in, I brought van back on Thursday 03/19/2015,accompanied by my aunt.[redacted] had mechanic look under hood and [redacted] stated it was just a wire we left and got home and check engine light came on. Friday, 03/20/2015 my van was jerking worser and then my van would not back up at all.I called [redacted] on Thursday and Friday and she agreed to come pick up my van on a dolly. Saturday morning my fiancee called to find out what the problem was with my transmission and [redacted] was very rude to him and hung up on him. I just want my $2200 back because my transmission was never rebuilt.Desired SettlementI want my $2,200 back because my transmission was never rebuilt.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] - ManagerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]Yes we did rebuild the transmission in this [redacted]. These transmissions are very expensive to work on due to parts are high for all [redacted]. Ms [redacted] has several issues going on with this vehicle. We have not denied fixing this vehicle she only has to get this vehicle to the shop. We were going to pick this vehicle up last week but we could not get there with a dolly to pick it up. I contacted [redacted] on Monday and left her a message and talked with her father that we would be down at 9am Tuesday to tow this vehicle. Tuesday one of our techs went to [redacted] which is an 1 1/2 hour drive to pick up her van. The van was in the drive with a [redacted] parked in front of it. No one would come to the door. Our tech stayed waiting on someone to come and get the vehicle out of the way so we could tow it to the shop. After 2 hours of waiting I had the tech to come back to the shop. This has cost us a half a day. This transmission is under warranty and we honor all warranties. We can not correct a problem if we can not get the vehicle to the shop. It is the customers responsibility bring the vehicle back. We have tried to help this lady but all she wants is money back. We have a lot of money and time in this vehicle just to give money back and can not see that it has a problem. My resolution to this problem is bring the vehicle to the shop so it can be fixed. We do a lot of [redacted] transmissions and specialize in [redacted] transmissions. This transmission was rebuilt to [redacted] factory specs. If a part failed then we apologize but we will stand behind our work. We always do. That is why we have a warranty!Consumer Response Today is March 30,2015, [redacted] promised my van would run like new. Initially when my van was towed there on March 4,2015,[redacted] told me they would inspect my van to make sure it was transmission again she was very polite until she got $1,800 of my money. [redacted] called me back Friday, March 5,2015, and told me it was definitely the transmission and sway bars, motor mount and needed axles. At the time of purchase on my van on April 2013,the transmission had been rebuilt by owner. He told it had a 6 month warranty. I drove van for 2 years before my transmission went out. I have never had a problem with engine. [redacted] claims my engine is causing van not to back and jerking, stalling while driving. I trusted this to fix my van lady and all she has done is lie to me. I have 4 children, single parent, and student. My van is my only transportation and $2200 is a lot to me because I don't have money to just give. I had my van 4 days out of the month of March and my dad drove van back to her shop. I demand my money back because of betrayal to scam money out of a single African American woman. She communicates with my dad instead of me,my dad didn't pay her $2200.00.Final Business Response I have tried to contact Ms. [redacted] several times and she does not answer or call back if you leave a message. Yes I have talked with her father because he is the one that has talked to me about her van. I would never tell a customer that the engine is preventing a vehicle not to back up. I did not even realize that was a problem till the vehicle was brought back. We have checked all wiring on this vehicle and have pulled the transmission to replace it. We are now waiting on the transmission so we can installed it and be able to return to Ms [redacted]. We will ensure that the transmission is working properly and start the warranty over again. I am anticipating that this will be ready by the end of the week. I am sorry of the problem that has happened but parts do fail sometimes. I do not scam anyone. I have tried to be fair about the repairs done on this vehicle. We replaced mounts, sway bar links and oil switch on this vehicle. All the charges was not just for the transmission. We do not have these problems with [redacted] vehicles we have did hundred but I am sorry this has happened to Ms [redacted].I ensure that Ms [redacted] will be happy as soon as the transmission arrives and installed. My Team will advise Ms [redacted] or Mr. [redacted] when this vehicle is ready for pickup. We apologize, we will stand behind our warranty!
