Review: This organization organized a half marathon and 5k at the new 49er Levi stadium, which was scheduled for Dec. 14, 2014. They sent an email on September 24, 2014 stating that this event was cancelled and that they would refund all registration fees within 6-8 weeks. It has been well over 8 weeks and I have not received a refund. I sent 4 emails to ask for the status update and I have not been informed. When I checked on YELP to see if I could get answers there, people also commented that they have received no responses from this organization and no refunds. This organization is associated with Excelerace, which I also tried to contact and have not received a response. Please beware of the unscrupulous activities of these organizations.Desired Settlement: All I am asking for is to be refunded as promised.

Review: I signed up and paid for the 49er Santa Clara Half marathon on 06/12/14. The marathon was scheduled to take place on 12/14/14. In October of 2014, the Santa Clara half marathon organization advised us the marathon had been cancelled and we should receive a refund in 4-6 weeks. It has been approximately 6 months now, and I have not yet received my refund. I attempted to contact the organizers, via email, and recived a bounce back message stating the email address is invalid. The website (santaclaramarathon.com) appears to have been shutdown and there is no way of contacting this company now. I'm afraid this company may have taken my money and disappeared from existence. Many of my friends who also has signed up for this marathon has not received their refunds either.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my refund of $160.42.

Review: On September 24, 2014, I received a notice stating the Santa Clara Half Marathon was cancelled and that refunds would be issued in 6-8 weeks. I waited the amount of time specified then emailed the provided email address inquiring about the refund. I also emailed the event organizer by the name of [redacted] at [redacted]@superheroevents.com with no response. I advised [redacted] that I paid for an entry fee for the half marathon ($104.44) for myself and a 5k fee ($54.44) for my daughter - total charge of $158.88. To this day, I do not know the status of my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the form of a check since the debit card I used to pay for the race has expired. I now have a new debit card. The original email sent from the company stating the race was cancelled advised that refunds would be credited to the card used to purchase the race.

Review: This company promoted and collected fees for a half marathon, at the time it was then advertised as the 49ers Half Marathon located in Santa Clara, CA. At some point they switched their name to Santa Clara Half Marathon (probably when they were notified they didn't have the rights to call it an NFL licensed franchise) and then in September they e-mailed out announcing the cancellation of the event and that they would be sending refunds. I (along with tons of others based on the yelp reviews) have not received my refund after waiting the 6-8 week window they announced.Desired Settlement: I expect a refund of the fees for an event that was canceled by the organizer.

Review: I signed up for the Santa Clara Half Marathon, scheduled for December 14th. I received an email that the event had been cancelled on September 24th. The email indicated I would receive a refund for the event with 8 weeks (by November 24th). That time has come and passed and I have not received a refund for the event. The event was $111.44. I have emailed them 5 times regarding this refund and have not been responded to. There is no phone number to call and inquire about the refund. I found 3 separate email addresses for this business and none have responded. The customer service is beyond terrible and this has been a waste of my time.
