Santa Fe Radiology response: December 24, 2015ID# ***The Complaining party was seen at the hospital on 3/6/X-rays were taken at the emergency roomThe Patient Information and Intake sheet [which we have on file and are willing to provide] given by the patient on that date to the hospital
shows a home address of:*** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** ***Further, the information shows primary insurance of 'none'As such the file was assigned as self-pay and accordingly put into our process for obtaining payment.IT IS IMPORATNT TO NOTE: Our organization is not part of the hospitalWe are sub-contractors and as such we bill the professional component of this study on our ownThe hospital bills separately for the use of their machineWe do rely on the information provided to us by the hospital and subsequently they rely on the information given to them by the PATIENT.Bills went out to the patient at the above address HE GAVE at end of March and again at the end of AprilNo response from the patient at either timeNo return mail for bad addressFinally in July the claim was turned over to collectionsAfter further calls and further correspondence [which included a day grace period] with no reply the balance of $was reported to the Credit Bureau.On December 14, presumably after learning of the Credit Report, the patient contacted us for the first time with different information then they provided at the time of serviceWe updated our records to the new address of:*** *** *** *** ***The patient for the first time provided us with *** Insurance which we added to our records and billedIt is unclear at this time if our efforts to get paid for our services will be denied for timely filing by ***Processing takes 30-days.At Least mailings were sent to the patient, NONE of which came back as undeliverableBetween July [when the account was turned over to collections] and December the Agency made and documented eight [8] calls to the patient and left messages requesting a return callOnly once [1] time did they reach the patient and that was on 12/14/Per the collection agency the patient was hostile and hung up on the representative and apparently filed this claim with the Revdex.com the next day. Per your request in your letter we have NOT included any information that personally identifies the person making the complaintHOWEVER, at your request we are more than willing to provide you with all the documentation supporting this response. We are not opposed to removing the account from the Credit BureauWe have long been a member of the community and work daily with the people of Santa Fe to provide great care at a reasonable costAs a business we do expect payment for services rendered. Given the blatant disregard of responsibility by the patient outlined above, a decision by us to request the file be removed from the Credit Bureau will be contingent upon the following: 1) Payment in full by either *** or the patient if the insurance should pass along any cost to him, 2) IMMEDIATE retraction of this complaint, 3) IF this claim is already 'public', a published side of our response or public retraction notifying the community of the facts thereby protecting our name in the community.
