In response to MsE***'s complaint, the $charge was indeed authorized based on her signed rental contract with our companyShe signed a credit card authorization form which states: "BY SIGNING ABOVE YOU HEREBY AUTHORIZE SANTA YNEZ VACATION RENTALS, LLC TO CHARGE THE INITIAL PAYMENT, THE TOTAL RENTAL FEE, THE CANCELLATION FEE, THE SECURITY DEPOSIT, AND ANY OTHER FEES OR CHARGES OCCASSIONED OR OWED BY YOU PURSUANT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT." We operate similar to a hotel in that we hold the tenant's credit card on file as collateral, but do not actually charge any monies from the security deposit amount unless damage or violation of contract occurs at the property (we have her signed authorization for a security deposit up to $2,000)The reason that the charge took place two weeks after her departure (departure date 7/17/2016) was because we tried charging the card every day for $from the day of their departure and it continued to decline on a daily basisFinally, the transaction was approved on 8/1/
