Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: It is filled with statements and an inaccurate account of what occurred, as well as does not resolve the matter of the battery that I did deliver to *** at Santanta's I took my van to them near the beginning of August For the next weeks or so, both myself and *** *** went to Santana's or telephone Santana's to check on the progress of my vehicle Repeatedly we were both told that the person working on the vehicle was not available to speak to and to either come back another time or call back another time It was not until the week of August 15th that any information was obtained as to what was wrong with the vehicle When I called and spoke with ***, he was extremely rude and told me that if I didn't want them to fix my vehicle to just come pick it up When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, it would not start and was hooked up to a battery charger at the time *** told me that the battery was dead, they attempted to charge it, but it needed a new battery We went back and forth over how was I supposed to drive the vehicle away like he told me to, if it wouldn't start and eventually he ended up saying the person who had been working on my vehicle had to have surgery and that is why my vehicle had not been worked on yet, and he would call him to see what was wrong with it After he made that phone call, which I witnessed across the shop, he said it was the ignition module At that time, I called B & R to find out the cost of the ignition module and if they had one, they did He informed me that the vehicle could be fixed within an hour of me bringing the parts and the battery to him That was on a Monday, the parts were due to arrive on Wednesday*** *** picked up the parts from B & R on Tuesday and took them to Santana's, only to find out that one of the parts purchased was not correct At that time, it was decided to get the part that was wrong through Santana's and that it would not be delivered until the next day *** gave me a ride to Santana's to deliver the battery To confirm, the Les Schwab battery was purchased for another vehicle, it is the same type - Ford Windstar - on July 25, Just a few weeks prior to this vehicle being at Santana's The battery was purchased thinking that was the issue with the other vehicle, however it was not the battery and was needing the entire engine to be replaced The battery was never used in that other vehicle In all of the dealings and conversations with ***, he never once said we can't install this battery He willingly accepted the delivery of the battery to be installed and never installed it in my vehicle He never informed me that it had not be installed in my vehicle
Fast forward to the latest encounter with *** and whoever the other person in the shop was I spoke with *** for a few minutes without the other gentlemen in the room At that time, *** informed me that he did remember me and my vehicle and my bringing the battery He did not explain what he was doing, simple said one minute and left the office He returned with another person, and at that time, he he began to change his story He said he didn't know me, didn't know my vehicle, had no idea what I was talking about He also stated that he didn't have time to look around the shop for someone's battery They began speaking spanish back and forth to each other The only thing I could make out in what they were saying was "engine module", the exact part that was replaced on my vehicle At that time, I said you do know my vehicle because you just said what part you fixed on it The other person was yelling at me, at one point he flipped me off and walked out of the office *** walked out of the office also but was close enough that I could still speak to him with raising my voice for him to hear I did inform him that I would be taking them to court to get the battery back that they stole from me Taking ones property to install in a vehicle, not installing it, and not returning it, is considered theft in my opinion I never mentioned the Revdex.com, however felt like filing a complaint was an effort to reach the owners who *** and the other gentlemen refused to give me contact information for It was my hope that by reaching out to the owners, this issue could be properly resolved without involving the courts Never during this conversation did anyone ask me for a receipt for my battery I was asked for the receipt that showed they worked on my vehicle, which I did not have with me
Attached you will see an additional text message, showing where I reached out to the owner, after having talked with her daughter several days prior Her daughter informed me that she would pass my information along and have the owner contact me I was not contacted, therefore I reached out to the daughter again to let her know that I had not been contacted At that time, she gave me her mother's cell phone number and told me that it was best to send her a text message At the time that I sent the initial message, it was obvious that she was aware of the situation because she asked if I was *** During that conversation over the weekend, she asked if I could get her the receipt for the battery I purchased from Les Schwab I informed her that I was out of town, but I would try to get it for her on Monday It took me a couple days longer than expected, due to lack of transportation since I can't drive my van without a working battery I have provided her with the copy of the receipt, as well as a copy of my witness's statement
I again ask that either a replacement battery be provided, of equal value or that I be given the $cost of the Les Schwab battery that was delivered to *** at Santana's, so that I may obtain a replacement battery myself
Sincerely,*** ***

Yes, I acknowledge Santana’s Transmission did perform a service on ***’s vehicle during the month of August, *** came into our business with her van and it was troubleshooted and determined that her van needed to have the ignition module replaced, at this time *** asked how much it would cost for
the new part and stated it was more then she could afford, and asked if she could purchase one from the wrecking yardThe mechanic said yes she could- days later she returned without the part and stated that she did not want the service and was just going to take her vanWhen *** tried to start her van it did not turn on because there was no sparkAt this point *** changed her mind once again, asking if she could bring a used ignition module which was purchased from the wrecking yard. A part purchased from the wrecking yard is not reliable nor do we place under our warrantyIt took *** about to days for her to bring the first and incorrect ignition module for us to installThe mechanic told her that the part she had brought us was not the correct part and they were not able to install it, the mechanic then offered to remove the faulty ignition module so she could take it with her back to the wrecking yard to purchase the correct partWhich once again took another - days, resulting in a week long processFinally when she returned with the correct part it was installed and her van was ready the following business dayApproximately months later, *** returned to the shop and spoke with one of our mechanics telling him what happenedOur mechanic acknowledged that *** had brought us the ignition module but did not acknowledge that she had brought us a batteryAt this point our mechanic spoke to the manager and said he was needed in the office*** again explained her situation and requested they give her back her batteryOur mechanic who she spoke with upon arrival once again told her that she never brought us a batteryThe manager requested *** provide him with a receipt to show him that yes in fact she had purchased a battery from Les Schwab around the time she stated, then asked *** why she never requested we give her the old battery so she could take it to Les Schwab to avoid the core charge*** never once addressed the question and demanded very disrespectfully as well as screaming accompanied with profanity that the manager get back in his shop and look for her said batteryThe manager offered for *** herself to go look for her said batteryOnce again *** screaming and cursing stated that she was not going to do so and it was not her shop and he needed to go look for it, and demanded he do it*** also informed him that she would be suing and contacting the Revdex.comMean while on her way out the door she decided she was going to continue screaming, cursing and flipping our manager offOur manager had enough of the way *** was handling the situation and herself and he walked away leaving her in the office with our other mechanic, which she promptly decided to verbally abuse him as wellThe owner contacted her via text message on Saturday November 10, at 6:pm. I have supplied you with visual text messages between *** and myself.Exhibit A - D For the record I would like to bring to whom ever is handling this complaints attention that it is now 10:pm on Tuesday November 15, and I have yet to hear from *** or receive a photo of said receiptI would also like to address exhibit DOnce you take a battery and install it in another vehicle and let it sit then try to take it out to install in another it is no longer a BRAND NEW battery therefore has no warranty I am not sure which story she wants to proceed with, but she either she purchased a "new battery" from Les Schwab or she took a Les Schwab battery out of her other van that is non drivable and tried to have us install it in her drivable vanEither way she keeps changing her story and we never had said battery brought to us or had said battery ever in our possession. Expected Settlement : I want storage cost with interest and a detailed apology to my employees and I would also like a written apology on the Revdex.com for the slander she wrote.Respectfully,Santana's Transmission Management
