As follows, [redacted] purchased a vehicle from our facility on March [redacted] 2016. We had approved her loan through [redacted]. Though we have an approval, complete submission and validation from...

[redacted] is not completed until the verification process for the customers is done. However the customer was in possession of the vehicle. [redacted] was unable to verify the customers job information. The customer had switched jobs within the time that the bank was in possession of the contract. We then proceeded with with another bank, because the new credentials of the new job was not enough for [redacted] to continue with the loan. Therefore with the new and updated information the deal changed numerically. This is why the credit was ran a second time. However these were the only times that the customers credit was ran. The customer failed to prompt the dealer that they were going to change jobs soon. Had we known we would have submitted the lo an a different way. One piece of paper can hinder an entire negotiation process. And this is what accrued. We tried working with the customer and she refused to even pick up our call. This is not anything we have not dealt with before. Honestly this is a slightly common problem in this industry. So we have ways to work around these issues. However we cannot settle a solution without the customers compliance. In reality we are the ones who are losing, if we were to compare apples to apples. The customer was in possession of a $19,000.00 vehicle for almost 2 months and using it daily for the price of a $2,600.00 down payment. Once a deal is kicked back there is no collateral for us. The bank refused to continue with the deal so the remaining balance that we are supposed to receive is no longer going to be credited. Now all we have is a $19,000.00 vehicle that is being used daily and adding miles with nothing to show for it. and when she brought the vehicle back it was not in t he same condition it was in aesthetically. The vehicle needs almost $2,000.00 worth of body work.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The dealer is not only inaccurate of his accusations, he is lying. I have been working for the Department of Education for 6 years and The City University of New york. I have never changed jobs. As soon as we received the denial letter from [redacted] we returned the vehicle and the dealer refused to return our down payment as he stated and tried to bully us in not giving us a receipt for a vehicle we had returned a month and a half prior. He actually tried to give me another vehicle. Well Fargo, my bank, called me and told me the vehicle had been altered ( The navigation system was taken out, the racks on top of the vehicle were removed and the miles weren't matching to the car fax and the dealer had put extra miles on it) which is why the bank denied the loan, not because of my employment, which I have had the same for 6 years. I have never switched jobs. We have recorded video from the incident with time and dated stamped. There was no damage to the vehicle,( we have pictures of the purchase and when we returned it) that wasn't there prior to the sale. On the contrary, I took it to a mechanic, where the mechanic said the car had been altered. I spend $600 in a detail to pass inspection because the vehicle passed a false dealer inspection. The practices of this business are actually unethical and predatory. I want this dealer to please stop running my credit and return my down payment.
