Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Few reasons, First of all I was there for my son’s examinationI was with my son’s first examination because I knew that my wife wouldn’t be able to calm my son down if he starts and my wife wouldn’t be able to gather all the information I wanted as far as the procedure that my son would require I asked the male dentist, that was examining my son if the Nitrous is enough to do all the procedures? and he said “YES” Reason I asked this is because I knew that my year old son would cry soon as they start drilling on his mouth I WAS NOT informed about how I would get a referral if they can’t finish the job If they would have told me that or would have known that I would have gladly taken my year old somewhere else where they can totally sedate him Me and my wife took my son for the second appointment and my son was calm He WAS NOT crying at all even when he sat down on the chair He was scared but he WAS NOT crying because I was there talking to him and he was holding my hand This time around it WAS NOT the male dentist thats working on my son but it was the female dentist My son was calmI even talk to him that we were going to put the mask for the Nitrous on his nose They even did the injection to numb my son If my son was out of control They wouldn’t have be able to numb my son at all Yes I started raising my voice Of course, my son has a cavity when we went there but now not only he has a cavity He also has a gap between the front tooth because they couldn’t finish the job they started Which I can understand since my son was already crying Given the right information at hand my son wouldn’t have to go to that process just for experience Regards, [redacted]

October 5, Revdex.com Corporate Office La Posada Drive Austin, Texas Re: ID# *** To Whom It May Concern: Dr*** ***, have treated the herein year old patient, in my office on August 24, Since you have not stated the name of the patient, but the name on Customer
Information is patient's father, who is not a patient of record, we are assuming that this complaint is on his childIt would be a wise idea if you made that more clearUpon examination of patient's oral cavity, I charted decay on teeth number's E and FHis mother came in with him for this first visit where we did an examination and prophylaxisHe let us do the prophylaxis with no problems but not any xraysI suggested to his mother that we use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to fill cavities on #E and #F but if he still did not co-operate, we would then have to refer him to a pediatric dentist, which patient's mother agreed to and made a second appointmentAt the second appointment for restorative treatment, patient's father brought him in and patient was already cryingAs I started working on his tooth he would not open his mouth to allow me to workI tried to work on him for a little while longer, but the more I tried, the more he cried and screamed uncontrollablySo, at this point there was no way I could finish the procedure I had startedI told the patient's father we had tried our best but when a patient is doesn't co-operate we have no other option but to refer out to the pediatric dentistI then inserted a temporary filling with this child screaming and crying and jerking to the best of my ability so they could be on their wayDuring the procedure the father, tried to forcefully hold the child down in the chairI informed the father that we did not practice force dentistry on any patient, adult or childrenAt that point the father started getting very upset, yelling in the operatory where other patients were receiving treatment as wellHe made most of the patients in at that time very uncomfortable and frustrated to the point that one of my patients suggested we call the police and or child protective services on patient's fatherUpon releasing the patient from the chair and walking him to the front desk area, the patient's father continued his ranting at the front desk and pounding his fist on the counterHe was loud and rude to my employees who were working on a referral for the patientAt one point as a new patient entered he bad mouthed the office directly to themAs a courtesy to the father we did not charge for the sedative filling but we did charge for the nitrous oxide that was usedOur fee for that is $for each half hourI feel that at the very least this was a reasonable chargeI would normally charge for the sedative filling, as well as a behavioral management feePatient's father was not pleased with being charged but did pay the nitrous oxide feeI feel that I have explained the situation to the best of my ability, as unfortunate as it was *** *** D.D.S

I am rejecting this response because:
Few reasons, First of all I was there for my son’s examination. I was with my son’s first examination because I knew that my wife wouldn’t be able to calm my son down if he starts and my wife wouldn’t be able to gather all the information I wanted as far as the procedure that my son would require.  I asked the male dentist, that was examining my son if the Nitrous is enough to do all the procedures? and he said “YES”  Reason I asked this is because I knew that my 3 year old son would cry soon as they start drilling on his mouth.  I WAS NOT informed about how I would get a referral if they can’t finish the job.  If they would have told me that or would have known that.  I would have gladly taken my 3 year old somewhere else where they can totally sedate him.  Me and my wife took my son for the second appointment and my son was calm.  He WAS NOT crying at all even when he sat down on the chair.  He was scared but he WAS NOT crying because I was there talking to him and he was holding my hand.   This time around it WAS NOT the male dentist thats working on my son but it was the female dentist.  My son was calm. I even talk to him that we were going to put the mask for the Nitrous on his nose.  They even did the injection to numb my son.  If my son was out of control.  They wouldn’t have be able to numb my son at all.  Yes I started raising my voice.  Of course, my son has a cavity when we went there but now not only he has a cavity.  He also has a gap between the front tooth because they couldn’t finish the job they started.  Which I can understand since my son was already crying.  Given the right information at hand my son wouldn’t have to go to that process just for experience.
Regards,
