I did enter in a contract with the mentioned [redacted] , but what he failed to mention, I told him that I could not get the *** [redacted] system that I originally planed on installing on the carport in a timely mannerI said that I could purchase a [redacted] *** system from a private contractor but they would charge an extra than what was originally projected [redacted] agreed to this and I then drove approxmiles back to his home for a checkWhen I arrived at his house his significant other and himself while standing outside under the car port asked me if I would increase my proposed bid $1,and submit it to the insurance company so they could make some money off of this jobThey said they would give me $extra for doing this, I told them that I'm not into lying to insurance companies but if there is more work that is needed we could work something outI did not make it back to pittsburgh till after 430pmBy this time I was unable to purchase material until the following MondayMonday came and I was involved in a minor accident with my daughterI notified [redacted] of this and told him that I was going to stay home with her for the day, Tuesday was looking like rain so we would be out on WednesdayThis message was sent via textI received no response till Tuesday evening where he stated that he did not plan on moving forward with the contract any longer and he wants me to return the money, by this time I had all the materials purchased for the job, I told him this and also told him that I was unable to return the materials to the person I bought them fromAnd if I was to take them back to where he had bought them from they would charge a 30% rest allying fee if they would take them back at allI asked him to reconsider having the job done, he refusedI told him that he is welcomed to his materials, they are sitting in my back yard, but I'm not going to run all over the place returning materials and trying to get people to buy them back because he is upset that I refused to defraud an insurance company because that is the only reason I could see why he doesn't want us to do the job, or he had spent the remaining money and would have been unable to pay usThe initial deposit 50% is non refundable, this assures us that we will be able to purchase the materials and that we will not schedule any other work other than that current customerI still have his material which he has been notified on several occasions that he is welcomed to, but his doings cost me and my company days without workI refuse to pay re-stalking fees because a customer decides to change his mind, this is why there is a contract to assure that work is secured and to protect both of out interests, I advised [redacted] on several occasions that I would still like to just do the job and get it out of the wayIt was only days late from the projected start dateOne day was due to weather and the other was due to exigent circumstances
