Stay Away From Sares Regis Group
This is not a company you want to do business with. Trust me! I’ve been a resident in their Fremont, CA property and the property manager Linda Berry is what drives this otherwise great community into the ground. She is vindictive, retaliatory and the most unprofessional person you’ll meet. She lies right to residents faces with a smile. She’ll have your car towed and laugh while it’s happening. Spend your money elsewhere! Keep your family away from this place! You can find almost anywhere else that you’ll be happier at rather than staying at a Sares Regis property

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[They are clearly frauduently lyinging about the situation, I find it odd it takes about weeks for anyone to respond to this complaint. The fact is when it was served non renewal notice, which it was not, I want a Copy of this NON renewal notice they served meAlso I want a copy of the day notice they sent me on 9/14/ prior to this Supposed Eviction notice, I was never served oneI have witnesses from a moving company on Nov 21, I vacated the premises and dropped off my keys and parking pass
What time and date was the eviction served??? The day was for Retaliation of my complaints against the neighbors around me. There is a countersuit in which *** *** and Suzanne Ruiz will not accept the papers served from my Lawyer recentlyTHus they will post the complaint on their Doorsteps within a few days from now
They are clearly falsifying the situation as usualI have been there til Nov 21, 2015, no one served me anything besides the day notice to vacate the premises on Sept 14th, This response makes no sense from them
They are discrimating against me for my status of being single, versus kids and illegals living thereI have reported them to the Child Protective services and the State attorney as well and local Fire Dept for having too many residents in a bedroom apt.Regards,*** ***

With this in mind, I did not expect an immediate response and thought that allowing you a week to review and respond was reasonable. I do apologize if that was a misunderstanding on my behalf. I am sorry that you feel that I sent your account to collections while actively investigating your dispute and would like to assure you that it was not the case. Our company has set in place protocols to ensure that all of our move out accounts that result in an outstanding balance are dealt with in the same manner.  Immediately after a resident has moved out, should there be an outstanding balance, our third party recovery agency automatically uploads the account data to their system on a weekly basis. Once they have uploaded an account, they immediately begin their attempts to recover the outstanding balance. While it is a collection agency, they have what is called a 45 day pre-collect period which begins the day you return possession of the apartment to management. If an account is satisfied/resolved during this pre-collect period, the account is simply closed with no further action. Should the balance still be owed after the pre-collect period, they then proceed in to the collection phase. Also your use of a black light in highly inefficient due to multiple items that glow under a black light.  Tonic water, club soda, laundry detergent, and cleaning chemicals.  I do notice that some of the stained area that you have photographed is near the kitchen. I am guessin [redacted] failed to mention that I would not pay for any stains near the kitchen as to your plumbing that backed up and exploded, not only in our apartment but 3 other ones in the building.  At the time of this incident we were out of town for business and were not able to clean this up.  The floors, cabinets, carpet, and drawer were completely covered in sewer water and food.  Your staff even threw away our kitchen utensil, telling my wife it was hazardous!   From what I am seeing from your yelp I am not the only customer to be completely let down.  In fact your name has been mentioned. Here is the post on yelp to help your memory. While The Cascades was a great place to live, the office management, and Sares Regis offer a poor experience. I was disputing a move-out charge with the assistant manager [redacted], but we could not come to an agreement, so I moved things up to the regional manager [redacted].  [redacted] took 2 phone calls within a week to get a hold of. When I spoke with her she was very condescending and rude, and even told me that she had "no sympathy for me." After ending the call with [redacted], I found out that [redacted] had sent me to a collections company 4 business days before [redacted] contacted me. So in order to avoid this showing up on my credit, I paid the full amount in dispute; keep in mind this was all over $300... What upset me the most was that I was still in contact with The Cascades & Sares Regis disputing the charges, had there been a final answer that The Cascades was not going to adjust the charges, I would have gladly paid the same day. I called [redacted] back to complain, but did not receive a return call until 1 week later. When I asked [redacted] why the call took so long, all she could say was "sorry". Furthermore in discussing it in detail with our maintenance supervisor, it is our standard protocol for a black light/urine test to be performed at every single move out. Former pet damage would have been found at the time the move out inspections took place.In discussing the matter with our maintenance supervisor, he also informed us that the pet odor in your apartment was highly evident just entering the apartment. Once the black light inspection was done on 5/6/15, multiple urine areas were found thru out your apartment, so much so that a carpet pet seal treatment (disinfect the concrete slab beneath the carpet) had to be completed, an item that we only have to schedule when the slab cannot be cleaned and disinfected in house by our maintenance department. For your review, I have attached the move out pictures taken of your apartment on 5/6 showing where the pet urine was found. In addition to these findings, [redacted], our leasing consultant whom [redacted] spoke with on Wednesday June 3rd informs me that while discussing the move out fees with him, [redacted] did state to her that your mother came over several times to visit with her dog during your residency.  It is our intention to always provide both a pleasant and fair living experience for all of our residents, both current and former.  After the further and detailed research done, we see no grounds to adjust the charges.  I hope to have addressed your concerns regarding this matter.
