Hi this customer came to our dealership suggesting that his *** vehcile should be covered under warranty.We showed the gentleman where his vehicle is well out of warranty and that there is no recalls on his vehicle.He wanted us to diagnose his
vehicle anyway.We checked it and charged for our time.His beef is with ** *** not the dealership.We dont controll whats under warranty

I do nit accept thjs response because I had the recall done on Sept.12, and the work they completed on May27th, the cause of the problem they said was for the *** in BCM which was the part under recall only months earlierI should be given a refund of for the work completed in May.27th, ***

To whom it may concern the customer arrived at our dealership and spoke with our service advisor [redacted].The customer...

said she had a fuel leak and wanted to get it diagnosed and left the vehcile.We got the vehicle in the shop and performed our diagnosis which included removing the gas tank because the leak was coming from top of tank and we had to be sure to confirm leak as this is a safty issue.then the advisor called the customer and informed them what was needed and how much the repair would cost.This is when the customer told us that they were speaking with ** for possible assistence.First of all we were only askd to diagnose and there was no talk of price.After the customer told us they were talking to ** we adjusted the quote for them but they were still not satisfied.The customer was then advised we would have to reinstall the tank because they didnt want to have the rpair done here and that there would be additionl cost which they said go ahead and reinstall the tank.Also in relation to the truck not starting it was because when the tank was taken down because everything was rusted it made the leak worse.

I am not going to accept [redacted]s reponse. For one my [redacted] has left him several messages and so has head office re. this to see what could be done before we spent the [redacted].WE KNEW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND dealerlership knew for certain what the issue was too, taking the gas tank off was not necessary.They took it off I guess hoping we would get repairs done there. I have checked with other mechanics and taking that down was not necessary. What do u think our response was going to be when asking if we want the tank reinstalled or truck towed. The gas tank should of not been damaged when taking it out then there would not be an issue of having to get her towed.......When I took this vehicle in not once was I told that I would have to pay more than the [redacted]. [redacted] did offer a small adjustment on repairs to bring it to [redacted]+ tax instead of [redacted] + tax, but this was not good enough when we can get it done elsewhere for [redacted] + tax and we told [redacted] that. That cost didn't include the diagnosis either. [redacted] and I will not accept what he is saying.[redacted]

I know we didnt do any thing wrong on this visit we only done what we were asked to do and that was to provide a diagnosis.And the only proper way to do that was to remove the tank so there would not be guess work.If you cant see on top of the tank you would only be guessing as to what was leaking.We done a fair and honest diagnosis.They just didnt want us to do the repair so of course we had to reinstall the tank which then incurred more time which if which if we were able to do the repair it would of saved them time.Also they have it at another garage now so as far as we are concerned this matter is closed.

Its irrelevant where my truck is to at this point....The point is they took down my gas tank and it was uncessary when they could of reached their hands in over and checked it that way. Another point is when , the rude service advisor called me, [redacted], at that point he had charges well over [redacted]. You should of not removed my gas tank without comforting me first.
