I am required to have a plumber come in and plumb a new 1" gas line on the outside of my house to accommodate the new gas meter that they are installing. I am also required to pay them $1100 to replace their old gas line because it is an inadequate size for their new meter. [redacted] I was also given only 30 days to comply.Desired SettlementThey should pay for everything that needs to be done for the replacement of their equipment.Business Response [redacted] I have spoken with Mr. [redacted] regarding his concerns surrounding remediation costs associated with a natural gas line encroachment at [redacted], Regina. Mr [redacted] has agreed to the cost share proposal I have suggested and is satisfied with this resolution. [redacted]Consumer Response This complaint was issued last fall with the Revdex.com. A resolution was reached with the company, but now they are not up holding their end of the deal.Saskenergy needs to replace their old meter. Their existing gas line is insufficient size for their new meter. They need to replace their line. They are charging me $1100 to replace their line , I have to also pay to replace the incoming line and now they are over charging for services. They sent me a bill for $2011.85 for a months service and if I don't pay it by March 31, 2015, they will turn off my services. I did send them the meter reading, which was 3000 lower than what they are charging me.[redacted]Final Business Response Per previous SaskEnergy arrangements with Mr. [redacted], he was not billed for the work required to fix the encroachment (moving the gas line due to a structure being built over it which is against our Code). Mr. [redacted] contacted SaskEnergy on March 27, 2015 with an actual meter read from his meter. His bill was cancelled and reissued on March 27 with the corrected actual gas usage which has led to a credit on his account. The high bill he received was caused by a high estimate meter reading and was not in relation to the work done to move the line. SaskEnergy's General Manager has been trying to reach Mr.[redacted] to advise him that there was no charge for the meter move, that his bill has been adjusted to reflect the credit created from the actual meter reading and that SaskEnergy is arranging to have an Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) module placed on his meter so that actual monthly meter reads will be received electronically going forward.[redacted]
