RE: Case # [redacted] APR 1 0 2017

Ms. [redacted] was in our office on Jan. 14, 2017 which at the time, the patient ordered standard lenses. The...

lenses were ordered as a High Index lens at the cost of our facility and a gratuity to the patient. Yes her thinner lenses did come in but our Lab Tech was ill and had to be hospitalized, and yes out edger did break and all our lenses were sent out to another Lab. At the other lab, her lenses were broken during the edging process which does happen. The lab finished her lenses and sent them back to our facility. We were not satisfied with the lenses and sent them back to be corrected, which they were. Ms. [redacted] was still not satisfied with the lenses so we requested she return them once again so that we may send them back to the lab to be corrected for her once again. We have worked with Ms. [redacted] over and over to satisfy her which in reality she was given exactly what she paid for, The High Index lenses are coming at the cost of our Facility, not the patients who never ordered the thinner lenses to begin with. As of today, her eyeglasses are still at the lab being corrected once again for her. I hope this is to your satisfaction, we do take pride in pleasing our patients.
Thank you, Longe Optical
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2017/04/24) */
Hi [redacted]
I'm starting to think there "optical equipment" doesn't cut to a smaller size. Cause said stated in the first message, that I went to America's Best and got my glasses there (cause they were taking to long). But the size of the glasses from Americas Best is a lot thinner then Lounge Optical. So I'm just gonna walk away and say "OK" . Even tho they are not what I wanted. But thanks for everything

RE: Case # [redacted]
This letter is in response to the letter we received dated April 24, 2017, Ms. [redacted] fails to inform you that the frame she received from us is a semi-rimless and the lenses for a semi-rimless are a bit thicker because the lenses need to have a groove edged into the lenses for the eye wire that goes fits into the groove to hold the lens in. If it is grooved too thin, the lenses can chip and her eye wire will not stay in the frame. We advised Ms. [redacted] to go with a full frame as she did at Americans Best which the lenses are thinner because those lenses are grooved for a bevel which is a totally complete type of edging. Ms. [redacted] refused to switch her frame to a Full Frame instead of the Semi-Rimless at no charge but Ms. [redacted] refused to switch her frame and wanted the Semi-Rimless frame because she liked it. Well there's nothing more we can do for that type of frame, those are the thinnest the lenses can be, So therefore there is no comparison on the type of lenses because they are 2 different types of frame styles. We tried explaining this to Ms. [redacted] but she fails to understand and chose not to switch her frame but to remain with the one she choose. We have done all we can in trying to resolve this matter, there is nothing more we can do.
Thank you, Longe Optical
