I am rejecting this response because:
I  feel that Saucier did not do a complete and thorough review of my system the first time they came to my house.  If they had they would have seen the other iproblem I had and at that point I could have decided not to have anything done because I did not have the money.  I'm forwarding the letter that I sent them which details my feelings and sentiments.  Why would I have them do the work in the future with the way they treated me.  I would never go back to them.  This makes their offer of a discount is meaningless to me.  I will go to someone else who is reputable.  Please see my letter which I sent to them on September 8th.  They never acknowledged this at all.  They are totally unethical.

Dear Mr S[redacted] and Mr. R[redacted]:
I’m writing this letter to you to express my total
displeasure in the way you handled our service call and the subsequent requests
and calls I made to you to make the situation “right” in my mind.  I feel that you disregarded everything I
asked of you and left my family without air conditioning during the hottest
part of this summer.
On August 18th your service technician came to our house
and diagnosed that we needed a number of things repaired in our air
conditioning unit.  The bill came to $651.00
which I paid that day.   When I returned
home from work the system was running but was not cooling the house.  I thought that since it had not been running
for a while it would take some time for it to cool the house.  The next day when I returned home the house
was uncomfortably warm.  Clearly the
system was not working properly. I called you back and another technician was
sent out and he found my evaporation coil frozen.  He said at the time that he would have
someone get back to me about the situation.
That is when you, Mr. R[redacted] , informed me that it would take another
$2100 to fix the system.
This is where I feel your company did not do an adequate
job of checking our system during the initial service call.  Your tech should have checked the whole
system before having done the original work.
I would not have had the service done if I had known that $2700 was
needed to fix it.  I do not have that
kind of money available to fix the unit now.
Therefore, in essence I paid you for work and it’s not working.  I made this clear to Mr. R[redacted] but, clearly
you Mr. S[redacted] don’t get it.  You want
to give me a discount on future work when I have no intention at this time or
in the future to have it done by your company.
I told you I would pay your diagnostic fee but I would like you to
simply return my cost of the work.  You
have denied this request.
On top of all of the above, it took numerous phone calls
to Mr. R[redacted] for him to get back to me only to be offered one  lame offer
after another in order to get me to agree to your terms.  I also find it amazing that you have made no
attempt to call me to talk about this knowing full well how upsetting this is.
I will be filing a consumer protection complaint this
week along with this letter.  I will also
be contacting the Revdex.com and I will be providing a negative review
of your company on Yelp.  I did not want
to go to these lengths but I feel you have disregarded my concerns.

After a thorough diagnosis of the equipment it was found that the system was low on refrigerant. A visual leak was found on a shrader core which holds refrigerant in the system. The core was replaced without the removal of existing refrigerant or introducing air into the system. The system was then...

recharged and put back into normal operation.  This was our first call for this problem with no past history of any leaks. This is standard procedure for a first time leak. If we had not found such a substantial visible leak we would have recommended the removal of all refrigerant and nitrogen tested the unit with the possibility of having to cut system in 3 parts to find leak. This procedure is much more expensive and not necessarily needed in most cases. We always try to minimize the cost for our customers. When we returned with the no A/C call we found the unit iced up. This indicates that there is still a leak but very small. Upon rechecking unit a very small leak was indicated with in the evaporator coil. This leak could not be repaired and will require the coil to be replaced. We indicated this to the customer and gave a price to replace. We have offered the customer a 300.00 discount on the repair and also have not charged him the 2nd call of $233.00 for the second leak. We guarantee our repair of leak found and repaired but as an industry standard we cannot guarantee any unforeseen leaks that can pop up at any given time. We feel we have offered the customer a substantial discount and credit for work done. We understand they are not happy and we have tried to remedy with no avail.

Review: Saucier did work on our air conditioning unit which cost me $651. The unit did not work properly even after the work was completed. the next day when they were contacted about the system not working they then diagnosed that more work was needed to the tune of $2100 dollars more. My major complaint is that they did an inadequate job checking my cooling system the first time they came out. If they did and I knew what the total cost was I would not have had the original work done. the system is still not working at this time and I'm out $651 dollars. They have tried to give me discounts on the future work but I have no intentions of doing business with them again. They have been totally disingenuous in dealing with me. the owner has never even made an attempt to contact me.Desired Settlement: To have them return the cost of the work that I paid them for minus their diagnostic fee.
