We do not want to put any further stress on this client. We will refund the $400 in fees paid even though we did fulfill our scope of services. I will need a current mailing address to send out the refund check. Hopefully this will help in the client moving forward.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2016/02/19) */
I spoke with Ms. [redacted] and we are back on track regarding her matter. An attorney is assigned to the [redacted] case and we will do everything in our power to meet the [redacted] objectives.
We take every client matter seriously and we will...

follow up with the [redacted] and make sure they are aware of the work being done on their case.

To Whom it May Concern:
I am sorry Ms. [redacted] feels this way. I tried to negotiate for her in a bad situation. We take every client matter as if it were our own. I would love to talk to Ms. [redacted] about her situation and help if we can even though our representation was fulfilled.
[redacted]...

The letter was sent to the landlord.  We cannot control the actions of a bad landlord.  We try our hardest to reason with the opposing party and usually make a bad situation better.

The letter was sent to the [redacted]'s landlord on March 7.  We sent a copy of the letter via email to Ms. [redacted] on March 12.  We feel bad for the way the landlord is treating the [redacted]'s and are willing to continue to try and help.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/06/16) */
I am sorry Ms. [redacted] feels this way. We sent a demand letter and attempted negotiations with the opposing counsel prior to her unlawful detainer trial. Negotiations were unsuccessful. As we were hired for, we sent an attorney to her trial -...

however, Ms. [redacted] did not appear at the trial, which hurt her case and a judgment was found against her. It might have gone different if Ms. [redacted] had gone to her trial.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/06/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I specifically hired the law firm because I would not be able to appear at trial. I have detailed emails regarding this fact which I am happy to provide . To now say that this hurt my case is a lie..they should have advised me as such when I said on the first phone call that I was hiring them to appear in my absence as is traveling for work. . If I could appear, I would not have hired them. And, again, both the court and opposing counsel had no record of [redacted] contacting them on my behalf. I was my money back.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2015/07/01) */
I apologize. I mispoke, Ms.[redacted] is correct, she hired us to go to court for her because she could not. We did go to to the hearing. Ms. [redacted] may be upset about the money judgment against her as it is substantial.
The work we did:
On 3/25/15 we called the plaintiff's counsel to negotiate for Ms. [redacted] to stay until the 15th. They said they would ask their client and call back. On 4/10/15 we left voicemail with plaintiff's counsel following up on our offer. 4/10/15 notified / updated Ms. [redacted]. 4/15/15 called plaintiff's counsel left message and updated Ms. [redacted]. 4/23/15 faxed offer letter to plaintiff's counsel. 4/23/15 updated Ms. [redacted] regarding our attempts to negotiate with plaintiff's counsel.
4/2315 attended hearing for Ms. [redacted].
We did the work for which we were hired. We cannot guarantee a client will win at trial or everything will go there way because they have an attorney. All we can guarantee us that we will try our best. We can not control how the other side will act or not act.
