Thank you for your purchase at Savage Kia.  We are sorry that you feel your experience at Savage Kia was not satisfactory as we strive to exceed expectations in every part of our business.  I would like to respond to your complaint with some additional information...

and then offer a possible solution.  As part of our pre-owned vehicle delivery process we present each customer with a vehicle history report so they can get an accurate history of the vehicle they are purchasing.  You were provided a copy of a vehicle history report before delivery and subsequently signed at the bottom that you had reviewed it.  You also signed an additional Vehicle History Report Disclaimer.  Additional copies of both of these documents were given to you at your request recently.
According to our records, the vehicle sales cash price was much less than $27016.26 that you mentioned above.  It was also requested as part of the deal that Savage cut you a check for $1950 which was provided to you after we received the funds from the bank.  At Savage Kia we maintain relationships with some of the best financial institutions in the country to meet our customer's vehicle financing needs.  They have very strict guidelines on how much they will finance relative a vehicle's book value.  Your loan was within those book value guidelines.
We did speak on the phone about you bringing in the vehicle for us to appraise and trade you out of it into something that you would enjoy more.  I would still love the opportunity to do this for you and will guarantee you substantially more trade-in value with a purchase of any new or pre-owned vehicle in the next six months from Savage Kia than the other dealer offered.   We would love the opportunity to step up and do what the other dealer was unable to make you happy with your vehicle.  Once again, thank you for your business and we look forward to working with you on a much better trade in value for your vehicle if you so choose.

Sincerely,

Review: We purchased a vehicle 9/27/13 and paid $ 27016.26--we signed the papers in evening of 9/27/13 (9pm) and had to return to the delaership on 9/28/13 with our vehicle and we told our salesman, Joe Beach, that we decided we did not want the vehicle. He called the sales manager over and we were told we had to take the vehicle due to the fact that all the bank papers had been signed. On 4/24/14 we went to trade in the vehicle and were told the vehicle was only worth $13,0000. How can a car depreciate that much in 6 months. I was also told by a few people that they know of a number of people that the same thing has happened to that have purchased cars from a Savage dealership. We feel that we were really taken advantage of at the time of the sale. I called the dealership and was told by a sales manager that things happen and with the economy.the only thing they could do would be for us to bring in the car and they would see if they could give us a better deal. The car was in an accident and I am wondering if we were not given all the information about the accident. This seem real shady to me. I would not purchase another vehicle from them and I will certainly be telling my friends about the dealershi.Desired Settlement: We feel the best course of action is for Savage to refund the full amount of the purchase plus the money for the six payments that we have made over the 6 months plus the money for the car we traded. --The amount listed above includes the full amount without the trade deducted
